Could always suggest to him to check out his levels if he wants to indulge. At 55 maybe he's ready to look into TRT... If he mentions it you can send him on that route first and then down the road maybe it can evolve into a real cycle and by that time perhaps it'll be good timing.

Doesn't need TRT he's never touched anything before and probably wouldn't have much interest if he never knew I did. I'll just wait and see if he asks then go from there. Be interesting to see if my dad can be competitive with me once again, use to always ski, play hockey, swim and run together and until about 4 years ago he'd kick my ass at everything but now I've got skiing and running on him.

Cardio 30 mins treadmill 3.8mph 5% grade
Elliptical 20mins 3.1 miles total
Skipping 20 mins
Rowing machine 10 mins.
Why so much cardio? I ate an extra 1300 calories yesterday that I simply cannot afford to have eaten.
Also the DNP is now kicking my ass in the gym everything feels heavy or hard so I'm breaking up my final few heavy workouts up to the meet stoping DNP 4 days prior to the meet as well and hoping between the halo and test suspension help I'll still hit my numbers.

Slingshot bench 275x7 225 2x8
Cable lifts 20lb 2x8
chest dip BW 3x8

That story about working in with that dude squatting is funny and reminds me of a similar situation that happened to me years ago, except it was the bench press for me. Like you i asked if i could work in with these two guys as the gym only had 1 bench. Well these guys were two big Samoan guys that i recognized as bouncers from clubs i used to go to. Probably in the 260lb range and i was 192lb. So i asked if i could work in and they looked at me and said , were just warming up but we go pretty heavy so you better go first. But what they didnt know was that i could bench 440 and as i started 135, 185,225,275, at 315 they ask if i need a spot, NOPE i say and continue. At 365 i get 10 reps and these guys cant believe what their seeing lol!!! Finally they come up to me and say " Bra!! Your fucking strong" of course i act like its no big deal, but I thoroughly enjoyed the look on their faces when they realized it was them that couldnt hang with me.

Anyway sorry to write a book in your thread but that story of yours brought back a great memory.

Sometimes I feel like a old shitty Volkswagen Golf that has been sued up to the tits under the hood but nothing done to the outs when I'm in the gym, being small and not looking anything special but then pushing more weight then anyone else there :D
At 192 pushing 365 for 10 reps that's a dream to me I'd have to wake up or take off the bumper plates that make it look like 365 :p. No need to be sorry that's one of the more on topic things someone's posted in my thread lol. I'm hoping the meet goes well, gotta do good with all the meso bros in my corner waiting to hear how I did:cool:
 
How many days out from the meet are you?
10 days out only 2 more heavy workouts then next week I'm just going to run some light stuff and rehab it. I'm hoping I can lose enough wait in the next 7 days that I can eat maintainence for Friday and Saturday and not have to water cut Sunday morning for weigh ins at 10am

Ya I'm pumped for sure it's all I can think about, only wish I could have better prepared for it but timing of other life things makes it the only meet I can do this year so I'd rather get a meet under my belt and know the ins and outs then just make the excuse I won't be at my best. Plus my lifts are fairly competitive for this meet so I may do decent after all if I don't choke and end up bombing out lol.

Ya I'm gonna squat 385 opener bench 275 opener and deadlift 475 for opener all easy for me and if I go 9/9 I'll get a 1300 combined which would be a 5lb combined PR :D so I'd be happy with that and that'll make me only need another 200lbs total to reach my dream goal! I know it sucks its on a Sunday I took Wednesday-Sunday off work (I work weekends during the night) and have requested to hand in my pager Friday and Saturday night so I don't feel guilty if it goes off and I don't go. But come Monday morning I've gotta get back to the grind so hopefully I don't destroy myself

Those were my openers on bench and deadlift at my first meet. Squat was lower because my squat sucks. I missed my third bench that time, though.

Just because he hasn't touched anything doesn't mean he isn't a candidate. majority of people on TRT arent lifters/cyclers. my dad is on Watson @100/mg a week and he hasn't lifted used AAS a day in his life. its worth him getting checked out, especially if he is active like it sounds like.

I suggested to my dad to check his levels also... He's never cycled. Just wanted him to get the wellness aspect from it. Beat nature to a certain extent.

I'm making the assumption that he doesn't need it off the fact he can play hockey 2 days a week and make ex collage players look slow and that he has the energy to hit the gym 4 times a week and make impressive results in only months on top of a physical job. I would defiantly have him get everything checked first but I just don't want to push him down that road if he doesn't have to. Especially because he travels a lot so it would probably be a hassle being on trt.

Ya it's my first meet, last meet I signed up for I tore my quad and was unable to bend my knee past a 20' angle so I had to drop out. I'm pumped for it though it's one of the bigger meets provincially in my area

Single Leg extensions 90lb 4x8
Hamstring curl 40lb 4x20 light to get blood flowing
Long stretch

I was planing on doing 365 3x3 but this morning I didn't want to get out of bed and really didn't want to workout been stressed about making and keeping the 175lb weight by May 2nd and I only slept 4 hours last night so I took some TNE to get me through the workout. After about 5mins on the treadmill during warm up started to kick in (1.5hr after shot) so I decided I'd go with 90% singles just to have something heavy on my back and to roll through kinda thing. All reps felt good and depth was good I think I'm sitting a bit toe heavy though as I'm fighting to stay more upright.

Quick update, I didn't do f***ing anything today besides lay down and watch Netflix after my movie, I've been feeling like absolute crap but only have 1 heavy deadlift day tomorrow then commence Deload week and I need it real bad.

Side note to anyone that ever wants to take DNP I had no previous knowledge of this but if you bust a nut it's fucking bright bright yellow like glow in the dark yellow, why do I say this now? Well after a couple weeks on it I called it quits with this girl I was relieving tension with and I wasn't seeing the well... End result of the sessions. So ya either be fuckingin the dark or make damn sure she's taking it down the hatch cause I'm 100% sure is she saw that radioactive shit she would have flipped! @Docd187123 why didn't you warn me if this lol:rolleyes:
