The Basics of Ordering Bloodwork

▼ How can I keep my “true” identity from HTD, and the clinic, and the lab?
Easy: Don’t give us your phone number or credit card info. Then mail us a money order (a money order does not require your name or signature) for the total amount due for the blood draw and lab analysis. We will e-mail the lab paperwork to you when the money order arrives and email the lab results to you the same day we receive those 2-3 days later. If you want, you can even set up a temporary (and free) “alias” e-mail address at Yahoo! (e.g.,“YourAliasName”@yahoo.com) for the purpose of our email communications with you.

By the way, you do have to sign a Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Notice (required by Federal law, and for your own protection) before we can actually arrange your test(s). Don’t worry, though… print out a copy at home. Sign it with the same ‘alias’ that you will use with us over the phone, and mail it to us along with your money order.

There are two more things we hope that you will feel more comfortable knowing: First, 99.99% of the blood draw centers we send you to will NOT ask for your photo I.D. when you go in for your blood test. And, in the very-very rare event that one should they do so, don’t feel obligated to show it to them. Instead, leave the clinic and immediately call us at

1-800-456-4647 ext. 206. We will find you another clinic! Or, keep in mind, that your lab tests results are NEVER sent to or shared with the clinic or its personnel that does your blood draw. Only YOU get your lab results, and NOBODY else. So, if you are asked, and you DO decide to show them your drivers license or other ID, rest assured that they will NEVER see or know the result of your test(s) anyway!

You have a couple more states to use if your go through a quest lab.

If you are NY, NJ or RI you have to travel, but MD and MA are still good.

Can I just print the tests and take them to a lab that does the testing and pay there aka outta state?

Or will I have to pay online to print the tests. If this is the case I am assuming I have to make up a billing address?

Is it really a big deal to get labs done in ur real name ?

has anyone tried to use FSA (Flexible Spending Account) to cover these expenses?

I recently used a weight loss clinic to run my labs but it was cholesterol, metabolic, and some individual test such as Vitamin D, T3, A1C, etc... I have low test (Total Test was 83.13) so made an appointment with an Internal Medicine doc in a couple weeks. Should I ask him to run E2 levels?

I just used my FSA when I was in Thailand - paid the clinic for blood work, PRP and HGH injections. No problems so far.

I'm still trying to figure things out so this is a total noob question. Why would you want to keep away any connection between you and the blood test? You could be getting a blood test for any number of reasons.

All it takes is one nosey person to ruin everything

Thanks for starting this thread. Did my blood draw yesterday. Got my blood work back already. Found out I'm LOW T. Everything else is normal though

Does anyone know a good testing option on LabsMD for a test/deca cycle?

From what I understand I need it to say this for the false positive E2 numbers deca causes:

Estradiol, Ultrasensitive, LC/MS/MS

So far the cheapest option I can find is just a test that says "Estradiol, Ultrasensitive, LC/MS/MS" and it's $70. Of course I'd still need the standard female hormone panel for everything else making the total almost $150.

I'm not opposed to it if this is the best option, but I'd prefer to save a few bucks if possible.
