The Basics of Ordering Bloodwork

I never knew I could get blood work done without asking my Dr for it and had no desire to give anyone with a white color a reason to suspect I used anything illegal. This is great. I'm mid cycle, wish I could have done precycle testing but this will have to do. How do I interprate the results? Is there a chart to compare my numbers to that tell me where I stand?

Your results will show the normal range of results, and even pint out any that are high or low. Look at some other peoples bloods, see what on cycle bloods look like

I'm looking to get some cruise dose bloods done this week. I'm leaning towards the "Male Ultimate Checkup" on Private MD. It doesn't seem to have estrogen on it though. Anyone know any of these tests that'll have all the stuff I need to look out for? Lipids, kidney and liver, rbc and hematocrit, etc? Total test should be well under 1500, so it doesn't need to show over 1500 either.

this is a very good question I'm finishing up on a 10 week blast I'm also would like to know which test I would be taking and how long should I wait before having the blood work done. This would be my first time having bloods done without my doctor's prescription.

I just went ahead and went today and got the same one I got on cycle. Quest is nearby and Labcorp is a 30 minute drive, so I paid a little more than I had to, but saved on gas and time. It's been six weeks and a day since the last pin on my blast, from what I read that's long enough.

Another thing I read is you actually are supposed to fast for lipids and that'll be a problem with my schedule, so I'll have to do that down the road when I can. I leave for work at 7am and there's no way I'm fasting at work all day to do it after. I won't have to rely on pinning schedule though, so any day off will do.

I'm still in for more answers for next time and any corrections with what I might have gotten wrong here.

The process is very easy though, I set everything up and paid with my phone at work this morning and had them fax the order and I stopped after work. Literally was in and out in like five minutes and they email the results to you.

New here, I've just found this thread.
I have used Walk-In Lab before. LabCorp does the actual bloodwork.

You can arrange the whole thing online, or speak to a rep. You can order anything on the menu, without an explanation. They have monthly panel sales.

I used them because I have a high deductible, and I want to know what I have out of pocket. When your doc sends you to labcorp, and they know you have some kind of insurance, they charge as much as possible. I have read horror stories.

I also found an oncology office, who do their own bloodwork. If you have a doc rx, they will do the work for 1/2 off if you have no insurance.

It looks like a new set of test called "Gender Reassignment" panel is available. It is the same as the Hormone Panel for Females but it includes Lipids. This one is for Test levels <1500.

Gender Reassignment Testing | Private MD Labs

Funny how we use the Female panel now we can use the Gender Reassignment panel. LOL

Actually, don't use the Gender Reassignment Panel. Use the "Hormone Panel with Lipids" as it also has LH, FSH.

PrivateMD has made it clear on their tests now which ones cut off at 1500.
That should save guys the hassle of getting the wrong test done on cycle

has anyone tried to use FSA (Flexible Spending Account) to cover these expenses?

I recently used a weight loss clinic to run my labs but it was cholesterol, metabolic, and some individual test such as Vitamin D, T3, A1C, etc... I have low test (Total Test was 83.13) so made an appointment with an Internal Medicine doc in a couple weeks. Should I ask him to run E2 levels?

What would be protocol for hgh testing? Igf and hgh before any use as base line and then igf half hour after a 10 unit pin then after being on for an extended period do hgh again?
I realize this is likely wrong so if anyone can correct me please do

For a GH serum serum test you inject 10IUs IM and then have the blood drawn 3.5 hours afterwards. However, its takes a while of being on GH to raise IGF levels so you would have to use GH for at least 4-6 weeks before doing a IGF test.

Do I get hgh blood work test or igf test?

If you want to test whether your GH is real or bunk you could probably get away with just the GH blood test.

However, I prefer to do the GH and the IGF test for better verification.
I personally go 6 weeks while taking 4IUs of GH a day. And then for the blood test I take 10IUs 3.5hours before the blood draw and get both GH and IGF test.
