Yeah, the old-school union guys didn't fuck around. They fought for their rights and it was bad news for anyone that crossed them. It's a shame they're a dying breed, the world could use guys like that today.

In NYC we use to bash skulls in. The last time a skull was bashed in was in 2011 when a teamster truck driver drove through a picket line and got thrown out of the truck and beaten badly. The guy had a family but that didn't matter to any of the guys. Unfortunately I was on that job they were picketing and I walked off that job because I didn't want to get my ass beat either.

I haven't really heard of anything like that locally here for awhile. There was a gunfight about fifteen or so years ago. Nobody killed, just a few hurt. I think it's calmed down a lot over the years.

The area I'm from (Southern Illinois) was notorious for that kind of stuff back in the day though. Books have been written on it.

That's sketchy man. A major health problem could cost you hundreds of thousands. I totally hear you but man that's a big risk. Ever notice you stay healthy with no injuries when you have insurance cause it's the opposite when you don't. My insurance goes up again next year along with the copay and max out of pocket. Fucking Obama

That's what I have. Check your new explanation of benefits your probably getting ass raped too next year. My max out of pocket is $1500 now, next year $3500 and rate is going up

My insurance will never go up because it's Funded by the Locals welfare dues. We pay out of our weekly checks a portion for our healthcare fund that's part of the whole local and the employee matches the funds with an hourly rates package.

So say I make $33 an hour right now in my check. My hourly rate package with everything included is $55 an hour. We'll never pay anything because it's funded by our work. But if you are out of work, you lose your insurance.
