47,000 reps of that lil dumbbell makes a killer set! Can't live without the cottage and the chic peas. I got all that + my fish oil and flax oil for the next 2months for 210$ I think I'm going to up my fats (they are a little low right now) with that coconut oil like you mentioned.

I was working late last night so dinner was a huge protein drink (Syntha-6,banana,milk,coconut oil) and water . Lost another lb !!

This morning its cottage cheese & coffee , gonna ride this weight loss all weekend if I can . ~Ogh

164.2 lbs

OGH and others -
While counting carbs in ketosis, is it important to count the traces as well? I mean, if I eliminate all fruits, vegetables, starches from the diet, can I enter ketosis?

I am thinking to include the following products for ketosis, please let me know whether I am counting the carbs rightly. Which products are the ones I should be counting carbs for?

1 scoop ON Whey - 3 gm carbs
Almonds, Walnuts, Flax and Cashews
Greek Yoghurt - 4 gm carbs in 100 gm
cottage cheese - 6 gm carbs in 100 gm
Peanut butter - 4 gm carbs in 1tbsp

I plan to use yoghurt and cottage cheese in moderation and high fat cheese, canola oil, etc for fats but I am really not sure how should I be counting carbs?

What fiber sources should I be including to aid in bad digestion due to high amount of unsaturated/ saturated fat?

I dont do well on a strict keto diet so my diet has some carbs in it . I like to stay around 50-100 gms carbs a day , instead of the standard 50gms carbs & under . As I get leaner I get a little stricter with my diet .

I think counting calories is more important than counting carbs or fats ; you can also lose fat by going on a high carb / low fat diet . I choose the low carb diet because its easier for me (Im a fatty food lover) but either diet will work , like I said its really all about the calories.....Goodluck !! :D

Just got out of walmart..... man for the price you pay on product, you certainly pay also on service. That place is a disaster, but nothing beats a week worth of food just under 100$:cool:

Just finished two cans of tuna with 1 tablespoon of mayo. 2 cups of skim milk with 1 scoop of whey 25g protein.

Ive noticed to gain my most mass when i implement milk into my diet. Nothing like basics folks !!!

I have been nailing my cutting diet lately and today in a moment of weakness I slaughtered a shit ton of my son's left over easter candy. I don't even like sweets but for the last week or so I have been craving sugars. I have been avoiding them untill today's brutal feast. I was looking forward to some pizza for my cheat meal tonight but after pounding down a couple grand worth of chocolate calories, I skipped it.:(

cheating is good, don't be discouraged!!

Lunch is 1/2 lb of ham & 3 boiled eggs plus the other half of this mornings apple . I remember reading years ago Arnold & the Golds Gym boys really stocked up on ham for quick protein , so I've been really hamming out man , lol. Its good cheap protein for the money ......

Rockrambo, you can definitely enter ketosis with some of the items you listed. I'm not a fan of dairy, AT ALL, but that's me. I wouldn't cut all vegetables out. I would definitely add cruciferous carbs to the diet along with the nuts and peanut butter. Dark leafy greens. Asparagus, spinach, broccoli, all provide a "negative caloric effect". Example. Spear of broccoli, 10 calories (pulled this number out the air), takes the body 40 calories to break down. Hence, burned 30 net calories with diet alone. Are you cheating throughout the week at any point?

Welcome Tango - yea man dont let that deermeat go to waste , I was eating elk last week until I ran out . Time to kill something !!

Since everyone around here is drinking almond milk I guess Im gonna have to pick some up for protein shakes .......

Elk sounds good, I envy you. Not available where I'm at.. but I've got some venison backstraps, ground, and some summer sausage w/ garlic we processed in the fall. I did get a spring gobbler though and now Trout season is in full swing. My girl turned me on to the almond milk, there's a brand that makes a higher protein unflavored unsweetened that I like to mix and occasionally cook with. Look around it's not the Silk, or Almond Breeze...it advertises 4x the protein on the label so I bit.
Happy Hunting...
