Really? We're a days drive from home and its Christmas eve? Who do you know in Tn?

Oh it's my buddy TEK! He's just passing through, super nice guy...prior service, big redneck fucker that breeds pitbulls, trains martial arts, and forges knives. He does have some pretty bad social anxiety though so just dont move too quickly and never stand behind him. He won't stay long, but he's bringing up some homemade whiskey and brandy.

How do you know him?

Oh! He hangs out on my steroid message board...met him online.

OMG what a shocker! Sous vide NY strip w/ saffron rice and broccoli for dinner... LOL time to switch things up... Problem is, this is about as perfect of a post workout meal as I can imagine... I think 131f is the perfect temp for these NY strips, they are insane.

You put the food in a ziploc bag or in a vacuum bag
Put the unit in a pot of water
Plug the unit it and set to desired temp
Add the food to the water when it's at temp
Cook for necessary amount of time (benefit of sous vide is you cannot overcook the food, as it only cooks to the set temp.)
Pull food out, let it rest for 5 minutes or so
Hit with torch
Eat

I think it's $180 on amazon, that's where i got it.
