Dried asian Fungus
(Ensure the qauntity of the sweet potato is equivalent to all other ingrediants combined, so it remains the star of the show.)
Tossed with
Salt
Pepper
a few drops of soya sauce
The key seasoning is "Knorr liquid seasoning" Original flavor
Apparently you have to use "Real asian wrapping paper"
Not the usual crap... I have no idea wtf that means...
But my wife is asian and that's the only explanation she will give me

Yeah, they're a dessert. I've had them a couple of times. Mmmm..... You're right about the wraps/skins. The ones they use are real thin, almost see thru before cooked.

I'm getting schooled right now by my wife.
But all apparently the biggest failure for people making spring rolls is buying the "western" wrapping.
Too much pastry thing (I dont know lol) and not enough of the inside ingredients flavors coming through.
For sure giving the plantain spring rolls a shot.
I grew up around a lot of Jamaicans, I still get WET when I hear about "Twice smashed plantains"

Power has been out for 4 days, diet is taking a hit. Bunch of fire close by, in evacuation order but holding out ground. I think they are erring on the side of caution, that fire would have to really move to reach us. Anyhow here is some pizza

Yeah, we got hit good 2 years ago. Now this one a little north, but the winds have been crazy they are worried about it traveling south it's been pretty nuts. People get weird with stuff like this. I'll tell you our roads weren't meant for the amount of people that are on them when they evacuated everyone. There is literally only one highway heading north and south.

Yeah it's been pretty lame, really hard time for the kids. My daughter is scared and wants us to evacuate, but we don't really have anywhere to go. Playing it day by day, so if it gets closer we'll bounce. I stayed in there room until they fell asleep last night. Hopefully she is feeling better today
