Why there almost certainly is No God!!

Over the weekend, Saudi Arabia’s State Security released a video on Twitter listing feminism, homosexuality, atheism and more than three dozen other categories as forms of extremism.

“Don’t forget that excess of anything at the expense of the homeland is considered extremism,” the video warned according to Reuters, which first reported the story. Such “extremist behavior” is grounds for imprisonment and flogging, the government-aligned newspaper Al Watan reminded readers in a follow up report on Monday.

The classification came in stark contrast to the American ally’s aims to rebrand itself as reforming some of its policies and welcoming western tourism and business.

By Tuesday, the oil-rich kingdom was distancing itself from the move.

Millennials Are Leaving Religion And Not Coming Back
Millennials Are Leaving Religion And Not Coming Back

Millennials have earned a reputation for reshaping industries and institutions — shaking up the workplace, transforming dating culture, and rethinking parenthood. They’ve also had a dramatic impact on American religious life. Four in ten millennials now say they are religiously unaffiliated, according to the Pew Research Center. In fact, millennials (those between the ages of 23 and 38) are now almost as likely to say they have no religion as they are to identify as Christian. 1

Millennials may be the symbols of a broader societal shift away from religion, but they didn’t start it on their own. Their parents are at least partly responsible for a widening generational gap in religious identity and beliefs; they were more likely than previous generations to raise their children without any connection to organized religion. According to the AEI survey, 17 percent of millennials said that they were not raised in any particular religion compared with only five percent of Baby Boomers. And fewer than one in three (32 percent) millennials say they attended weekly religious services with their family when they were young, compared with about half (49 percent) of Baby Boomers.

Religion doesn’t save you, JESUS/YESHUA does! God manifested in the flesh, the Messiah. He’s so loving and won’t go against his own justice that he’d come down in human form to die and shed his blood for sins penalty then rose from the dead. We all fall short.Amen

Sometimes you have to let go of your pride and religion of science to allow God unto your heart. Once you feel it, spiritually, you know he’s there.

i will admit , many religions are corrupt. Even some Christian denominations are corrupting the Gospel from the Bible.

these “millennials” grow up in a corrupt Church such as Catholicism. They go to a secular school which pushes an atheist agenda. They leave Christianity because it’s easier. They never actually learned that you don’t need church to have faith. I don’t put a church, man or preacher above God. Ever.

I found Jesus without church and without reading the Bible. He was found purely through prayer which then opened my eyes to the Bible and strengthening my faith over time. I’m not a perfect human and I make mistakes, struggle, etc. that’s why we need God

no hate and much love. God bless everyone. I pray most will hear this

well lol , but then that would ma

Very bad meme here

1. In the Bible, book of Matthew, the direct words of Jesus warn us about praying in public : And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

This player is CLEARLY praying in public

2. prayer should be for glorifying God and humbling asking for guidance, not selfish man made desires

3. how do you know he’s praying to God? Yaweh?

4.God is so perfect and justice , he won’t go against his own laws.

5. sports usually host events on Saturday and Sunday which are know for be days of Sabbath

6. miracles from prayer happen everyday, you just have to look for them

Aquinas lives with the reductionist guys.

Main point with god is this

Awful argument, everything he claims, any theist from any religion can claim.

By Johns admittance, if someone claims they have a personal relationship with Zeus, that’s evidence of Zeus’s existence.

Terrible terrible argument.

1. I could look for the number 7 everyday, and find it in many things, that doesn’t mean 7 is a magical number, it just means I’m finding what I want to see.

2. Even if miracles do happen, that doesn’t mean it was a god that performed them.

William Lane Craig has numerous debates and online content. Best arguments for theism I have heard coming from probably the top apologist on the planet to date. Definitely would recommend watching them.

Anyone that’s actually studied physics and cosmology would tell you he argues in bad faith and completely distorts and misrepresents information. (Luckily it’s my major).

The only actual person that I could ever say argues with integrity is probably David Wolpe.

Couldn’t disagree more. Craig is an avid student of both cosmology and physics. If you read some of his books you would know this. Please provide me with an example of his arguing in “bad faith”.

I will be checking his content out . God bless brother

In response to your miracles comment:

Miracles by definition are impossibilities in a naturalistic/atheistic worldview. Therefore it leads to the only other explanation which would be a cause outside of the natural universe. So the naturalist/atheist is left with no other explanation other than miracles can not exist. If you believe there is even the smallest of chances that miracles can happen then you are forced to a conclusion that they are performed by what us theists call God.

What? No way, the main point with Johns´s ideas are the piety and pleasure, so to speak.

¿Do you know the FrankFurt School? Well, that is very interesting to understanding this "mathematicals" reasons. Its a materialism perspective to rethinking the problem of the Faith.

Wow, it's amazing to see this thread has fourteen years behind it with people regularly contributing. Glad to have found this thread. I personally believe there is something beyond ourselves. I can't explain it nor am I even close to having answers. I am not religious but I truly believe deep within there is something beyond us. And just as any atheist can use critical thinking skills to invalidate the existence of a higher power the same can be done with nonexistence. We have no means to prove either.

I for one find a belief in something beyond myself to be highly personal. I don't expect to persuade others into believing or disbelieving what is true for me. At one point in my life I was so fed up and disappointment in God and was certain there wasn't one. But through personal exploration and not even actively looking I firmly believe I achieved a sense of knowingness and discovery through some deep meditative practices that put me back on track. I'll spare all the details with those experiences. But suffice it to say, God is limitless and everywhere. God is not some white haired, Caucasian male casting judgment while sitting on some gilded throne nor does God have a human form. I can't even use masculine or feminine pronouns because doing so imposes limitation on a supreme being. I feel extraordinarily blessed to have acquired this.
