Some of the greatest philosophers of all time namely Descartes, Berkeley and Kant have all come to the same conclusion that we can never have certain knowledge of the physical World and that we can only really know the subjective world i.e. our consciousness.
There is plenty of evidence to support evolution. In fact, this view is widely held by the academic community, however there is still much debate.
This evidence is demonstrated with simple mutations such as antibiotic resistant bacteria to inter-species adaptation (one example, but not the only example being the penguin - Those aren't wings, they are fins).
Example of evidence include the following:
Gene sequences.*Comparative sequence analysis*examines the relationship between the DNA sequences of different species
Fossil evidence
Genetic commonalities
However, I personally do not feel that evidence in support of evolution precludes a belief in creationism.
As per Christianity, a topic that I commented on earlier, I don't think most Christians truly understand what it means to be a Christian. By this I mean, if you are using profanity, sleeping with women outside of marriage, or dealing or taking drugs, then you are not living a Christian lifestyle. Of course, the easy out is to say "we are flawed and imperfect beings". However, this does mean that you do not have an obligation to try to live a Christ-like life. (Saying "I'm imperfect was not an out for the people living in Sodom and Gomorrah).
... but hey what do I know?
