Anyone follow Larry wheels on IG? Idk if he's been hacked or what but he keeps plugging some lab. It's kind of annoying , mainly for the reason that I'm sure he has a lot of kids 18 and under that look up to him. Of course we all know he uses gear. But blatantly plugging a source? And on IG?

Idk,maybe I just expect these guys to take their very limited fame too seriously
Damn dude that sucks. I don't do Instagram but I liked the dude :( hope it was hacked.

Does using the dip-machine wreck anyone else's elbows? How do I strap a plate to myself so I can do weighted-sips from a dip bar instead?

I use an army belt with a short loop of rope to run through the plate, loop through itself and then run the belt through the loop.

BOOMSTICK.jpg Everyone needs one of these in their lives. It is the kabuki strength boomstick. Great tool for bodytempering. Only downside to this, is you will need a partner that has a clue to what he or she is doing to you or understands the anatomy of the body.

You can use it yourself and get a bit creative for your quads, calves, hip flexors, shoulder pec area and pecs.

Whos doing Circus dumbbell presses to get their bench up?
This guy:D
Problem is my gym only goes up to 150's which means im gonna run out of a challenge before i even start.
Only 2nd session ive incorporated them in.
Seems to be working

I've been doing a lot of OH work with a log for strongman.

Flat Benched for the first time in 3 weeks yesterday and damn if I didn't feel STRONG.

For me, bench is one of the movements I can improve a lot through training other lifts. Now if only squats were the same!

I wish we had access to circus dumbbells. 150 sounds plenty heavy for training to me. My best OH with barbell is only 315. Idk how well that translates to one arm circus dumbbells but I imagine it's harder with the fat grip.

Saw Brian Shaw doing 280 or a little more with the circus dumbbell. Hes strong:oops:
That dude is just so impressive to me.
But 150 is good for a double. Then drop and repeat with the left arm. I can press with a square shoulder and stance with my right arm. My left side it gets squirrely and i have to jockey for leverage. And yes like you it is absolutely helping my bench. Im gonna keep doing low reps with em. But like i said. I dont have any more running room for bigger dumbbells.

I never press heavy with a barbell overhead. 315? Thats good man. Id be proud of that. I dont feel comfortable with a barbell. A dumbbell i feel good with cuz i feel like i can abandon ship if it gets squirrely enough. The barbell i feel "strapped" in.

I will also add i been off 7 wks and this off cycle is by far the most successful one ive ever had at retaining my strength and size. I think i figured this out. Its a good template for working without AAS. The hope is i can go in to my next cycle just as strong as when i left my last one. Which has never happened to me before.

I'm just impressed your gym has circus dumbbells. We've been building all of our own specialty equipment.

If i didn't have access to a fab shop I'd be SOL training for this comp.

No way I would want to go into this without practicing the proper technique for cleaning a log and picking up stones.

On another note... today just isnt my day. Today was lower body day which meant my dear sweetheart front skwaaaats was on the bill. Which gets me as excited as a broad gets about buying new useless things like shoes or clothes. Walk in the gym late ~0400 and EVERYBODY is using the racks. Even the platforms. Never happens. Proceed begrudgingly to improvised plan B. Leg curls then leg press which is inferior as a leg builder IMO. i just respond real well to squats. Lucky like that. Normally i start with FS then proceed to ancillary work as stated above. So half my workout was fucked up from the start. FINALLY! A platform opens up. I seize it like a tiger seizes its prey. Set my tattered notebook down and proceed to go thru the routine of working my way UP to my working load. Typical start 225x1, 315x1, 365x1, 385x1 then i would consider 405x1 my last set of warmups and start working triples after i get 405. I didnt even make it there. I unracked 385 with that lovely good morning of that sweet steel kissing my collar bone. Deep breathe. Descend in to hole. Cant get back up. I had to throw it to the safeties. I got up gathered my thoughts and decided to just scratch the WO for the day. My calves are instantly sore. The full stretch of 385 in absolute A2G position seemed to strained them today. Cant BELIEVE how sore they are!

What do you all do when your plan goes to shit? I feel so demasculated. Like i been neutered.

Im on an EOD schedule with sporadic 2 OFF days sprinkled in like parmesan on pasta. Its working great! I just wasnt ready to reverse the weight. Like it caught me off guard er sumthin. Hurt my ego more than anything. I think i would been fine but i did all that leg work b4 FS. Either way...i stunk it up.

I just found a dip bar pull up bar combo with weights that you can strap to yourself at my gym. It doesn't hurt my elbows at all :)

Generally i would just drop to a weight that i could hit my prescribed reps with.

I know it feels shitty to bot hit the numbers you want, but,for me anyways, i would feel even worse if i didn't finish the workout.
