I watched a very interesting documentary on netflix last night, (DIS) Honesty: The Truth about Lies.
It really dug into the human brain and the thought process that goes into cheating and lying. The ways that we justify it when others are doing it, and the more people that are doing it the easier it gets.
They did studies around the world and found that every country and ethnicity lies and cheats at pretty much the same level.
They follow a cyclist that cheats with epo, an MIT school admission officer that lied about having a doctorate for 20 years, a black woman that actually got jail time for lying about where her kids live so they could go to a better school.
They follow guys that did insider trading, and an NBA ref that learned what other refs favor which teams and players and could predict upsets in the games and made bets on it.
Even people that consider themselves honest folks lie every single day.
