Perrin Aybara's Journey to an Elite Powerlifting Total

but I'm raising carbs for sure.

I started a pre workout meal that I'm really digging... You might like it. It's a John Meadows thing, 1/2 cup cream of rice, about a tbsp of almond butter and a squirt of sugar free chocolate syrup.

It basically takes nothing for your body to digest it, the almond butter is there to slow down the absorption of the carbs a little bit and the syrup is there for fun. Best PWO meal I've ever used, truly.

I have almost zero stress in my life. Why would I? My life is great besides my lifts being down at the moment. I really don't stress after the life I've lived and what I've been through. Every day I'm alive, well and sober is a beautiful day and an opportunity for something great to happen.

Not sure on the school. Depends on when I can get moved and i can't get moved until it stops raining for a week or two. My trailer is stuck in the mud on my property right now about 30-50 feet from the foundation. Can't get out there in the mud.

I need to be settled in before doing anything. I'll probably have to take out a loan to pay for it. I was told there wasn't financial aid, but there's one other school in the area I'm going to check into. Where I'm living now I'd have zero chance of qualifying for financial aid, lol. Once I'm moved into my place I'd qualify for sure if it was available based on my poverty income.
I don't mean emotional stress...it's the physical stress that could be sapping all your energy. All that activity combined with your high metabolism creates insane physical stress on you.

What's the prep time? I'm in a massive hurry to get to the gym after work. It's all i can do to lift, get home, eat and prep food for tomorrow, shower and get to bed as it is.

About 2 minutes to microwave and 20 seconds to measure out the cream of rice before cooking and probably another 20 seconds to apply the syrup and natty almond butter.

I recommend keeping it dry / hard rather than soupy. Meadows recommends this too. So cook for longer than normal. Or use less water.

mmm sounds delicious...I should make this myself for those cals I need on training days.

That's possible. It's wearing me down for sure. Keep hoping I'll adapt.

Didn't mean to sound snappy. Long story, but being accused of stressing pushes a button of mine, lol.

Sorry didn't mean to sound harsh. I do know there's emotional stress which you don't have right now, and physical stress is what seems to be the case with all the physical activity you do.

About two minutes...

You have a microwave at work? Measure out the cream of rice into a tupperware ahead of time and as soon as you're done at work, add some water to it and pop in microwave for about a minute and a half then pull it out and add the other two ingredients and eat it up quick.

I haven't tried it but, I bet that cream of rice would go down pretty easy in a shake.

I used to be notorious for a big pre training meal... In hindsight, something smaller or something that's basically easily digested is better. Less blood going to stomach, more blood going to muscles.

Good attitude right der.

That seems like such a light meal. I like a fairly large meal about an hour prior to lifting, otherwise i end up starving the last half of my workout.

We have nothing on the job site. It's an unfinished house. Doesn't even have many power outlets yet. I eat my meals cold every day out of my cooler with ice. PB&J and cold veggies.

I still haven't figured out how to get the exact consistency I want... I tried going the "non soupy" route the first time, pulled it out of microwave and... cement lol. Realized I put way less water in then I should have... Today's was better.

It's cool because I'm dieting and that snack really satisfies... Makes it feel like I'm not dieting at all.

The trick I found is to use ample water but simply microwave it for longer. Add more water than usual, but stick it in for 2 minutes. If it's still soupy at some parts, put it in longer.

It's probably the perfect pre workout meal because C.O.R causes next to no GI distress and it's a very popular food during contest prep, and the almond butter keeps your insulin from spiking and later dropping down during training.

Shits magic

Someone on another forum suggested insulin to me today. Says it'll help with recovery and weight gain, getting nutrients to the muscles post workout, etc. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

@Eman @weighted chinup or anyone else?

I wouldn't go into it unprepared or uninformed. Would be as thorough as with everything else i do. I haven't done much research on it yet.

I thought so too but I was wrong. I do include a pretty good sized amount of egg whites too which helps, also easily digested.

Give it a try sometime, I think you'll like it. It fits in great for me while my calories are lower... I'll keep it during a bulk though, just change it up a little.

I'll try something tomorrow and let you know, I think if you add the water and rice mix together in the morning it'll be all absorbed and ready for the other stuff by quitting time. I have done it with regular rice many times, just add dry rice and water in my lunch container and at lunch it just needs heated up a little.

If I'm being honest, I considered mentioning it to you in private yesterday.

IMO, I think you should stick with this diet change up for a little while and see how it goes before using insulin. If you're not hitting your goals and time is starting to run out, then it would be an optimal time to include it.

With that said, you can still do some research and decide if you want to just do it now too. I think we've talked a little about it before and the consensus was that it was something for down the road... Maybe you're down the road now.

I've never used insulin and don't plan on anytime soon.

If I were to however- I would start off using a fast acting form some time prior to training (15 minutes I believe) and start sipping on some intra-workout carbs as I start doing my first set. You will need enough to last you the whole training session. I would probably have consumed a full meal 45 minutes prior to training too.

This is more towards pump and better recovery. I don't know how beneficial it will be for weight gain, the weight gain people experience from this is probably due to all the damn carbs they are adding for the protocol lol.

Honestly if strength is the goal then you could just say fuck off to all the esoteric drugs if you wanted to and not see much of a hit to your numbers. Anadrol and disgusting amounts of food is the ticket.

This cycle is over in 3 1/2 weeks. I'll be cruising on test and HGH and i guess it could still be used, but I'd worry about fat gain.

I'm about to be back on cruise mode in 3 1/2 weeks though. Next cycle I'm including anadrol for sure. With high test, high tren and maybe some NPP.

I don't know, this cycle isn't very productive. I'm getting more jacked and lean, but weaker and i know it's the job. No other explanation except I'm getting worked to death.

Yes, I think it could still be used. Fat gain depends a lot on diet and how you're using the slin I believe... The cruise dose of test plus the hGH should help with keeping you lean as well.

You'll be able to keep adding weight beyond your cycle too I think. Just need to adjust some things and see what works here.

I sometimes wish I had this problem... When I want the scale to go up it moves awfully fast.
