What size do you wear? I have a never taken out of the package sbd singlet that's 2XL. I won't come close to fitting it again. If so I can send it to you
Honestly man I have no idea what size I wear, let me see if i can't find some sort of size chart and figure it out. That would be awesome though!
 
Great session today, really feeling like the passion is back now that i hsve a goal again haha.

1.banded deads 8x3 7RPE 225 for two sets then bumped up to 245

Great workout, lots of intensity!

That DB ohp with 80lbs was a huge pr, definitely getting stronger on those.

And i think that was the first time i hit all my pullups so that was cool!

Good workout, squats didn't feel as easy as i hoped, but they werent as hard as i feared they might be. Body is just getting used to serious training agaon.

Bench was good, usapl doesn't allow heels to be off the floor on bench so i am adjusting to that snd it's not too bad. Competition pauses for bench, all bench is gonna be paused from here on out, i have got to get my bench numbers up.
 
Not a bad night but i got pissed and down on myself

1.deadlift single at 8.5RPE 20% load drop 3x5 so i was feeling great even though i had a really gacing day at work, worked up to 445lb and ripped it off the floor so instead of being conservative and going to 455 or so i decided to throw 475 on there thinking it would be around 8.5RPE got it up to my knees and i could have pulled it but it would have been max effort so just set it back down. Called 445 my top single and pulled my 3x5 with 355lb beltless

2.RDL 2x5 225lb

3.pullups 6x1

4.uprigjt row 4x8 85lb

5.lateral raise 3x12 20lb

6.standing arnold press 4x8 50lb

7.shrugs 4x16 275lb


Was hoping deads wouldn't have dropped too much but it looks like i am sitting around 475 max right now, i honestly thought it was gonna move quicker judging by how 445 moved but oh well looks like i have a lot of work to do beforethw meet. Gonna push hard but after this week i have a basic idea of where i am so i can make better choices as far as weights.

Hoping if i bust my ass my body will remember what it is capable of and bounce back fairly quick, i am not going into this meet expecting to win, or even place, but i definitely don't wanna get up on the platform and look like a pussy lol

Pretty good workout, a little disappointed with my squat performance but thats ok.

My chucks came in the mail so first time lifting in those and i was pretty happy, it didn't feel too much dofferent than squatting barefoot so glad it didn't throw me off.

5.pullups 6x2 first 3 sets i actually got 2 so i am showing some inprovement there.

1.deadlift dojble at 9RPE worked up to 425 for an easy single, went for 460 and missed, dropped to 445 and missed so did 405x2 20% load drop 3x5 325lb

2.romanian deadlifts 2x5 250lb

I just took off after RDL's...i dont usually walk out early but i was just so exhausted and those deadlift misses just really got me depressed, i fuckin punched a hole in the drywall after that 445 miss. I dont know what the fuck is wrong with me.... my excitement about this competetion is starting to just turn to worried anxiety, obviously i am still gonna give it 100% and compete but fuckin goddamn if im not just scared at this point lol.

Yeah i know it's still gonna be fun.

Just concerned, i need to start making better choices with my weight selection, i keep fuckin myself over trying to atleast match my numbers from last time around and not getting them and then end up taking less than what i could have gotten if i hadn't taken that first attempt.


On the upside my squat numbers seem to be about 5lbs above what i was working with kast time when i looked back at my log from September.
 
Man, i know this is easier said than done, dont worry about the meet right now. Dont worry about squat day on monday, when its friday and its bench day. For me, personally, focus SOLELY on that training session, focusing SOLEY on the movement im preforming( not the fact i have to do front squats after i finish deadlifting and how much i hate front squats) for that day helps. Stay in the moment if you will. To me, its a form of meditation. Sounds cheesy, may sound dumb or like it wont help, but i can almost guarantee it will. I focused alot on that this past meet prep. And it worked wonders for me.

Its your first meet dude. Just have fun. No pressure. This is just a bench mark or a starting point for the rest of the meets you do.

as for RPE, be a tad conservative. Better a tad under than i tad over IMO. You should be coming up to peak for the meet in the next couple weeks so no more missed reps brother! You will pay for it come peaking. Put out of your mind what you have lifted in the past and focus on where you are at that particular day.

I know you're right, my girl always tells me i am too hard on myself.

Definitely going to be a bit more conservative now that i know where i stand.

Im sure we all know the feeling of just getting frustrated beyond all belief at not being able to do some5hing that we know we should be able to do, it's like trying to pour a glass of water but you keep missing the glass lol.

Thank you though man, just going to try and take it all in stride from here on out and just do the best i can.
