Progress/training log part 3: Operation retard strengthstrength

So i was sitting here, being a fat piece of shit downing a lint of raspberry cheesecake Gelato, and i was looking at some instagram videos of the last week because i obsess over this shit and then i went back and looked from some of my videos from march when i maxed out last and i am pretty sure i am as strong or stronger thani was then.

In march my last 5x5 on squats was with 305lb and they looked like shit compared to my 5x5 with 315 this past week, they were just ugly, getting into a awful good morning position on every rep but my 315 5x5 from the other day was clean as shit.

Also, found a video of a 3x3 with 425 from just a few days before i maxed out and did my 475 deadlift and the ones from this past week looked a million times cleaner. Form was way better, wasn't really any breakdown from rep to rep and set to set.

Didn't realize it really but i have rebounded extremely fast and also being 20lbs lighter.

More excited than ever to get back to it this week and keep pushing, this shit fucking kicks ass!!!!

Trust young brodiwon the way of the iron will guide you to all your goals. Cool that you have so much tangible evidence on how far you've come. The best part is last time you maxed you matched your best deadlift ever even when you were 350lb and your squat was 20lb lower then your best ever of 405 but that time you didn't get injured and your form wasn't anything like it is now even. It's all going up and your form is consistently better

Well started the workout week strong

1.front squat 4x3 8RPE 255lb
2.TNG bench 4x10 7RPE 185 185 175 165
3.leg press 2x20 3 plates
4.kettlebell swings 4x16
5.planks 3xfailure

Damn fine session, best weight for front squats yet and managed to maintain across all 4 sets.

Bench was good got 2 sets with 185 but second set was a little close to rpe8 so just went down from there.

Supposed to do lat pulldowns in there after leg press but i didn't consult my schedule and i forgot, you would think i would know by now lol. Anywaus, got the big stuff done.
 
My job robbed me of a good workout tonight lol.

1.deadlift 4x3 8RPE 2 sets 435lb that was all the juice i had in the tank.

2.supposed to be clean n jerk but subbed in frontsquat/pushpress 4x2 135lb
3.seated cable row 4x12 100lb
3.OHP 3x8 7RPE 115lb


Just got buttfucked at work today. Super busy and a bunch of fuckery.

Spent 3 hours at the end of the day loading up a 12,000lb (yes 12 thousand pound) window order that has to be delivered tomorrow morning, had to stay an hour late to finish up and it fucked me up, instead of my usual hour n a half of rest after work i had to just go home get a shower eat and head right to the gym.

Just did too much today and got burnt out plain and simple, back was feeling vulnerable and weak so i called it on deads after 2 sets and decided trying to.do full clean n jerk was probably a bad idea.

I just absolutely raped that workout.

1.squat 5x5 9RPE 325lb
2.comp bench 4x3 8RPE 205lb
3.front squat 4x4 8RPE 185lb
4.incline bench 3x12 135lb

Fuckin killed it tonight. Squats were phenomenal.

3rd set felt like RPE 9.5 but i looked back at the video and decided it didn't look too bad so decided to press on eith 325 and I'm glad i made that choice because i guess i got my second wind or something and my last 2 sets were my best 2 sets.

Bench felt good, moved well and up 5lb so real happy with that.

Took a full scoop of that total war @Seven Dog that shit is the real deal lol definitely did something for me tonight when i wasn't exhausted prematurely from work. Will probably stick to a half a scoop on my lighter days though.
 
Decent session tonight

1.deadlift 10x2 7rpe 7 sets with 365 then dropped to 315 beltless for the last 3 sets, was definitely feeling yesterdays squats today, but todays deads are supposed to be speed work anyways so not worried about weigjt so much.

2.close grip pin press 4x10 275lb

3.arms and abs did two giant sets
Giant set 1
Alt DB curls/tri push down/hanging leg raises
Giant set 2
Barbell curls/skullcrushers right into CG press to failure/cable crunches

Got a sick pump lol

Took a few pictures feel like i have put on some quality size in the past few weeks.

Only about 5 lbs heavier between the pictures but i feel like i look a decent bit bigger, lovin it.

Funny little anecdote though. I was sitting at the gym between sets and just looking around at rhe other people there and i was just thinking about how people always tell me how dedicated i am and what not, but ya know i mean yeah i have put in a lot of work, but i have constantly seen results because i have been lucky enough to stumble across a great group of folks to help and be a support system and have set me on the path to success. You guys have all been my navigators, all i have to do is walk the path and i keep getting closer to my destination.

Anyways, as i was sitting there last night and watching the people around me. The people who are in there for hours every night doing these tedious, bullshit exercise routines for the past year right along side me and look exactly the same, and are exactly as strong as when they started. I feel like they must be the real dedicated fuckers to be able to come in there every night, see zero results, and still keep going lmao:D:D:D

I see the same thing at my gym. Certain guys doing the same routines for the last year with the same weight looking exactly the same as last year! Meanwhile, im down 70lbs,look completely different and much stronger than I was over that time period. I credit this board, one other board and the members on each that have shown me different ways to train than the old BB split so many are accustomed to! Keep up the good work broham, we're gettimg there!

That's what im saying dude, i dont know how they do it. If i went that long without seeing any results at all i dont think i could keep it up.

Always wonder if they look at guys like us that have made huge transformations and wonder why they aren't seeing results.
