Ok, I was just curious
As I said it will take time and not happen overnight. He can continue to get customers it really doesn't change the fact that the culture of the forum will have changed and it will help push him to source off the board more. The board will begin to stop playing the middle man or facilitator. The issue isn't driving him out of business it's getting him to stop doing business on the board.
We didn't need to use threats to get him to retreat. It was a community wide effort where he was shunned by EVERYBODY. And when I say everybody I mean from the top of the ranks all the way on down.

Why not just designate a mod to just delete the thread? Will save the community from the headache of reposting over and over to not buy. We've already seen that people will buy from them as long as they're here

He didn't say shit about nophat as a person and if you can't see that then I don't know what the fuck to tell you because in his post it is obvious he didnt realize what source the gear that was being auctioned was from. That's one solution to the problem but Millard doesn't want to go down that route. Seeing as it's his forum I can respect that decision. The other solution is to just spam their threads with crap until they get the message.
Is it a headache to repost the same shit over and over again? Of course it is. The real question is are you willing to fight for what you believe in or would you rather sit idly by while someone else does all the work? Would you rather have the power within your hands to change the direction of the board or would you rather delegate that power to someone else? This community, much like the proverbial chain, is only as strong as it's weakest link.
Plus it can actually be quite entertaining to see a new source trying to open up shop and within a few hours you have 50+ members all spamming the hell out of the source's thread. Some of the responses are really funny and I get a good laugh out of it.
