Well I didnt pull a million out of my ass, RememberDuring World War II about 16,000,000 personnel served in the U.S. Military... around 11,200,000 in the Army, 4,200,000 in the Navy, and 660,000 in the Marine Corps. I think it's irresponsible to put millions of our service members lives at risk when you can just drop bombs. Even quoting 54,000 dead as a worst-case scenario reaffirms my point. Some interesting facts I've learnt on this trip. General Patton refused to go into to the concentration camps because he said "he would be sick"
Officers said he seemed more concerned with saving the horses and keeping the SS troops in a separate prison so he could use them to fight the soviets later on. I've never read any of this in history books.
It is true that allied troops Marched German civilians through the camps to show them what happened however they took no precautions to prevent them from the typhus epidemic that was going on therefore typhus spread to German citizens afterwards lol

By the way, East Berlin is still a shit hole. I couldn't believe the difference between east and west even after nearly 30 years of repatriation. The soviets really fucked up East Germany especially East Berlin. I actually feel bad for the Germans. They are good people.

So I am 18 days into this trip and almost ready to go home. It's been quite the experience. My wife and I put over 2,000 kilometers on the rental car so far. Will probably end at 3,000+ over 3 weeks. Sad to see it all go.

It was true that he marched German P.O.Ws through the camps not sure about the S.S part and had them help the sick yeah and I have 5 relatives that were their as children sadly they are blood relatives but I am a Christian though not Jewish
