Who is our biggest, most shredded member at Meso?

Sorry to hear about the heart problems. You don’t think it was the tren do you? I’m sure it was a number of things but remember reading way back how you loved tren as much as me. Tren definitely feels like it gives me cardiovascular issues.

It’s hard to say, but I’d say that it definitely contributed to it. I ran a lot of tren over the years, but I also pushed the limits the last 3 years. I had bloodwork ran very often, but I never really had any check ups done on my heart. If I would’ve visited a cardiologist yearly, I do believe they would’ve have caught it way before I started having issues. Guys..... you need to keep a check on your heart by having an echo done yearly. Especially if you’re serious and pushing everything to the limit.

Solid advice.
It's something that I've honestly overlooked.

If you dont mind my asking, what's wrong with your heart?

Hoping you can get nice and healthy.

Fucking kudos for keeping solid mass through this

Heart failure. Ejection fraction was at 30 when I went into the hospital back in October last year. It’s up to 37 right now. A normal heart is over 50.

Making progress at least,
Seems like it's a long road to recover.
Stay safe brother.

Definitely something for me to think about too man.
I'll book an appointment as well.
Thanks for the advice

Hope you keep solid on the road to GTG

Ejection fraction (EF) is a measurement, expressed as a percentage, of how much blood the left ventricle pumps out with each contraction. An ejection fraction of 60 percent means that 60 percent of the total amount of blood in the left ventricle is pushed out with each heartbeat.

If the heart muscle has become so thick and stiff that the ventricle holds a smaller than usual volume of blood, it might still seem to pump out a normal percentage of the blood that enters it. In reality, though, the total amount of blood pumped isn’t enough to meet your body’s needs.

So how does a patient reverse LVH?
@Michael Scally MD

I wish you nothing but a full recovery.
When at my worst my EF was 20-25. It now sits right at 45.
It won't happen as quickly as you'd like but progress will happen with the right medication cocktail.
I'm on coreg and ivabradine myself.
I'll be pulling for you.
Been dealing with this for over a decade so if you ever need someone to listen I'm here bro.

@Michael Scally MD

Some blood pressure drugs, but not all, have been shown to regress LVH e.g. telmisartan

I would be remiss to neglect the most obvious way - lose some weight and in the cases of bodybuilders, this would probably mean A LOT OF BODYWEIGHT. This one is more difficult to accept for most bodybuilders. Clearly, taking another drug to fix the problem sounds much better.

LVH is closely related to AAS use through the androgenic nature of the hormones we use. But also obese people who dont train and definitely never use AAS also develop LVH. The primary method for reversing the enlargement? Weight loss as you mentioned.

But for the sake of our interests here at MESO what effect does time off have on the enlargement? Or are we talking semi permanent to permanent?

Thanks for the support! Yeah I’m on the top level of entresto, they upped my coreg last week to 75mg per day, that’s been rough, and I’m on aldactone. I feel great, and can do just about anything I want, but I still have bad days where I feel really lethargic. Like you say, it didn’t happen over night, so it’ll take a little while for it to get stronger.

That's great news bro. Glad to hear you're responding well to the medications.
Those lethargic days are gonna happen. But look at those days as rest days for your heart.
Just glad to hear you're doing better and on the road to making a FULL recovery.
Hang in there mentally. I know some days my mind can be my worst enemy.
You'll get through this. Just takes some time.

@rutman - how is your sleep ? Problems breathing when lying down or what seems like panic attacks (not able to get enough air ?) Ive had this...~Ogh

In the beginning, I could not lay on my back at all. I’d have a severe shortness of breath when I did. Waking up a flight of stairs about killed me. I’d be hugging the wall when I got to the top. Couldn’t walk any distance at all without giving out of breath.

Bro.... DO NOT put this off!!! Please go get checked out.

We all think we’re bulletproof, until our body reminds us that we’re not! I know I did.

Your body will give you signs when something’s not right. We gotta pay attention.
Oh I've definitely been paying attention to it. Only reason I havent been in to get checked is because I dont get gassed from walking, working, etc. I'm thinking it's more to do with my sleep apnea. I have had a few "wrecks" playing football and working with cows and horses that haven't helped my neck and thoracic area either. Thanks for the love Rut.
