I'll be on prep cycle 2 week 3 next week. You liking it?

I didn’t realize it next week, but we’re both running Prep Cycle 2. I did Week 3 Day 1 last night.

Squats felt good after not really doing them much recently. FML with the sets of 7 and 8 - had me breathing hard for a little afterwards. Focusing on increasing speed in my benchpress.
 
Your training max is a bit higher. Those 355x2 sets are 340x2 for me. How much you weighing? The squat day with all the mixed reps sucks lol.

Just from my limited time in powerlifting it seems like Bench press is my game lol

I am. I got it a while ago. As far as apps go it’s pretty good. I was doing the spreadsheet thing for a while before that. Printing each week out. Between that and the pages I had from other training methods I filled a 3-ring binder, dropped it one day and when I picked it up I watched the pages flutter out everywhere. I went with the App.

The app looks layed out pretty good, what's the official name of it? I know there is a couple of applications out there for shieko programs.

It’s the official Sheiko app - the one that looks like a square weight plate with Sheiko on it.
Edit: It takes a little bit to familiarize yourself with the setup and program pages. That’s a little tricky. But it has every Sheiko program in it. It also backs out from and syncs for a competition date you might have in the future.

They just came out with a gold version too - DONT do that one, it’s expensive AF!

I was thinking about running shieko next off-season year. Y'all logs are making me wanting to start one! I'll for sure start one for this meet prep.
 
Put the serious training on hold to lose some fucking weight before my next cycle. Lol, you guys made me feel like a fat fucker!

I had done a strict keto and intermittent fasting diet 4 years ago where I successfully lost 40 pounds (275 down to 235) in preparation for my first cycle. It made a difference. I’m not the fat fuck dad bod that I was then, but I wanted to trim a bit off so I can feed myself aggressively this next cycle without having to go up to the 308s. That would be too heavy for me at this point.

I started the weight dump about 2 weeks ago and I was doing ok with Sheiko until this week. I bonked out. That happened to me before too just significantly weaker without carbs and glycogen.

Good news is that I’m down 8 pounds. I’d like to get down to 245-250 before mid-June so about half-way there.

It’s an aggressive weight loss. Basically less than 50 grams of carbs each day and I only eat between 11:00 and 5:00. As much protein and fat as I can handle. So eating a lot of chicken, and ground beef. Can’t do steak this time because it’s expensive as fuck right now. When I did it before I was eating 4 lbs a day.

Headaches and fatigue the first week. Then everything adjusts and the magic happens. I miss the sugar and cream in my coffee the most. Black coffee sucks.

I’ll go on cycle mid-June and gradually re-introduce carbs. Not sure what I’ll do with the intermittent fasting. I train in the afternoon/evening so I might be able to stick with it.

Anyway, that’s my rant and I posted it tonight cause the whole fucking family got good pizza while I ate ground beef and a little bit of broccoli. Fuckers.
