A cry for help... and my powerlifting log

Could just run the diet without the IF, eat regular meals? I get bad headaches and feel like shit from fasting and low carb. For sure couldn’t handle it on a blast. You couldn’t spread the macros over 5 meals or something? Or does IF just help you with compliance?
 
I don't know how people can do the dieting with broccoli though. If you've done it once it usually turns you off of broccoli for life.

As for numbers I for sure think you, or most dedicated lifters, can hit 4+ plates mid 40s if they started training in their 30s such as you. Just gotta train right which you are. And avoid injuries, which is easier said than done for some of us.

Holy shit. It’s been nearly 3 months since I updated this. Sorry. I’m not holding myself accountable.

I got a full power meet coming up and I’ve been trying my best to focus on it but my squat and deadlift suck. I pulled a muscle on the outside of my quad. Guess that’s the lateralis. [emoji2369] But that set me back early.

I was running NPP in my cycle, was going well and then I started having a weird claustrophobic sensation that would wake me up every night. That was right before 4th of July. I thought I had covid cause I’d wake up gasping for air. The NPP was working so well though that I struggled for 3 1/2 weeks. Basically all of July, before pulling the plug on it. I’m a fucked up mess. But a week after dropping NPP I don’t get the claustrophobic sensation during sleep. I never got that before even running NPP higher. Getting old is so awesome guys.

But my benchpress has improved. I’m debating dropping to bench only so I don’t embarrass myself during squat and deadlift. Going for 485 and 545 for those. Ugh.

Anyway, here’s my 430 lb competition bench. It’s a 15 pound PR and I’m happy with it considering the bullshit during this cycle. Hey remember when this stuff use to be FUN!?!? Ha!
