Natural IGF-1 Level High?

Alas my first GH cycle has just begun. I got baseline IGF blood results back yesterday, 285 at age 41? How very odd.

My protocol will be typical of a GH noob, 2ui daily for a couple weeks, then increase until I find my sweet spot. Maybe 3-4iu’s daily, who knows. The initial plan is to cycle GH for 6-8 months, overlapping with my scheduled 16 week blasts, then off for 4-6 months.
 
I feel the same on chest days unfortunately, my right pec and shoulders aren’t letting me get the weight I want haha. Fuck man you get to the age we are at, you’re gonna have some kind of injury.
That sucks about your pec/Shoulder. Yeah your right about the injury thing. All my serious injuries aren’t even from lifting weights. I compressed a lumbar disc snowboarding in 2003. I think I also mentioned this before, I literally blew my knee out having sex!! Lol a complete fluke! The worst part was I was uninsured at the time and never even saw a DR or went to the ER, so I never had it repaired. I couldn’t snowboard for 3 years until I had built up enough scar tissue. I make do but it will never be the same.:(

I tore my pec while trying to climb a 10 foot high fence in the rain while I was completely shithammered drunk. Maybe 2005. I was skinny fat then so I had no idea I tore my pec, just thought I bruised some ribs. I didn’t care back then of course, never even had it looked at. Just woke the next day, got high and starting drinking.

Nowadays I won’t do anything even remotely risky lol. The bigger my arms get, the more people want to arm wrestle. I tell them no way I’m risking an injury for that bullshit, if I get hurt it’s gonna be in the gym.

Anyway l attempted to carry her over to her bed I stepped on a pile of clothes that had some cowboy boots under it and my leg folded with her wrapped around me and all her weight in my arms.

My knee blew up instantly, Black and blue right away, and I knew I was in serious trouble. At least she finished me off but It wasn’t worth destroying my knee.

She eventually moved away and I don’t stay in contact with her but she will always be remembered until the day I die.

Yeah shit sounds funny but it has permanently handicapped me for life! :( My knee is throbbing after 4-5 runs on the mountain. I have to put the granny bar down on the lift after a half day. It still effects me when i squat down in a catcher position, or to pick something up. Also when I reach into a low cabinet or try to meditate! Oh and when it’s cold and damp it really gets stiff and sore. This happen 12 years ago and I still think about and feel it every day. It really changed me a lot. I have always had a high pain threshold!

Decline DB press, fuckin brutal just getting into position. Something about that angle and getting my feet locked in quickly with heavy DBs so I don’t slide off the bench and land on the back of my head. It’s happened before.

All DB work today for chest, no more barbell press given my long ago pec injury.

Need to focus on cage press form, while trying to explode the weight up, I tend to arch my back some and I’m feeling it now. Great exercise that requires a lot of focus.

Good to see your still killing it even though your body is telling you fuck off. I hope that hgh will help with the soreness and potentially heal up the pec a little. It has worked wonders on my elbow/forearm tendinitis. Though it negative effects my hand strength and grip. I’m considering trying out some straps for heavy pulling movements like DL and Rows.

I use straps when I need to, I love em. They really help with back contractions for certain movements and with heavy weight. Much easier to disengage your bicep when it tries to lend a helping hand. Sure they don’t help your grip strength any, but on back days your primary focus is your back!

I fear the pec will never heal much without stem cell therapy or something in a few years. It was ripped at the point it attaches up near the anterior delt. Next time I do a picture i’ll get one focused in on that area.

However I’m optimistic the GH will help me heal up other parts in time!

I have a set of Versa Grippz and honestly they’re awesome. Last pair lasted me a good year and a half almost two years.

As this time has arrived, I realize how much I need a breather. I’m a bit taxed mentally, possible light strain in left superior trap, hip flexors very overworked, right bicep tendon in pain and that pinched nerve feeling that is so common behind my left scapula. If I sound like an old man, well... I am!

Full refresh is critical right now and the pressure is on. Carnage week 9 will resume Monday the 13th and will no doubt try to destroy my legs in its final weeks, then immediately to Sentinel where legs are hammered 3x per week for the first 4 weeks.

Basically I’ll be working at 20% less volume, so 15-16 sets instead of 20ish. Nice, slow reps that generate a pump but won’t approach failure.

Glad to hear this brother. Your body will absolutely thank you and you’ll be primed to get back in there and smash the weights next week. Be smart during this week. Stay extra hydrated, stretch more frequently, if you can hit a hot tub a few times too. Enjoy it. Eat some good food. Heal mentally and physically. IMO I would also cut the actually weight being used down as well too. Not just volume of sets. Meadows recommends roughly 75-80% of your normal ball busting working weight.

Thanks my brother! Will do. Gonna see what all this cryo therapy stuff is about tomorrow. Should I keep calories the same? I’ve been at 3610 almost all cruise, a little bit of fat added past couple weeks which I’m totally cool with heading into an aggressive bulk. I desperately need a cheat meal, last one was 3-4 weeks ago.
