Crystal's 1st Cycle Log. Anavar Only.

What's up Meso peeps,

I have been behind on updating this log. I keep meaning to do it in the evening when the kids fall asleep but I either get side-tracked and forget or accidentally fall asleep super early. Whoops!

I've been deviating A LOT from the original workout plan I was following and kind of started going back to split body parts, except I make sure to add in glute work three times a week. What can I say, I'm a creature of habit.:)

Day 22, Monday 4/25

Weighed in at 134.2.

Mostly chest and tri's with glutes thrown in. Broke my tiny PR on flat bench. It feels good to see the numbers sloooowly go up. I remember how difficult it used to be for me to even bench the bar, ha.

Day 23, Tuesday 4/26

Weighed in at 134.3.

I'm noticing a bit of water retention and I think it could be because "the time of the month" is around the corner. Last month I got it on the 1st, but I'm really crossing my fingers that the Anavar will keep it away. It's not looking good so far, ha.

Super happy that I broke my squat PR from last week! I made sure to have a spotter this time, just in case.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Day 24, Wednesday 4/27

Weighed in this morning at 134.8. Damn, the scale just keeps going up by a tiny bit and I highly doubt it's muscle.

I'm still noticing a little water retention although I've been consuming plenty of H2O. I really really hope I don't get my menstrual cycle soon.:(

My body is sore from the last two days, so I decided to take a rest day today.

I started taking Taurine as well, and hopefully that will help with the painful muscle pumps and cramps that interfere with my workouts.

Sleep has been so-so but I have been feeling a lot more tired in the early evenings now.

Still mild sides such as a tiny bit of oily hair, libido still high, a few muscle cramps, and I noticed that I'm starting to sweat a little while I workout. Yes, your read that right. I hardly EVER sweat. No, really. It's to the point where I was actually excited when I saw and felt a trickle of sweat between my cleavage and my lower back, ha.

Tomorrow is back day and I cannot wait.:)
The scale going UP is good girly. On AAS it means you're building lean muscle. You're not a newbie riding on newbie gains, you're hitting PRs which means there is some muscle stimulation going on.

Yeah, you're right. I just wasn't sure if it's going up a little too fast and assumed it was water weight. I sure do hope it's muscle, though! Do you have any idea what rate us females should be gaining at on var? I don't think I've done any research on that.

Everyone is different. No one gains at the same rate. Diet, training and god I hate to say it but genetics play a big role in growth/gainz

Dang girl 305 lbs hip thrust!! That is amazing.
So you use the smith machine or just a regular Olympic bar?
I do mine w the SM and I wanna move to the Olympic bar but I have no idea how to set it up lol
Thanks, girlie!:) I use the Olympic bar. I've tried the smith machine and didn't care for it because I felt like I wasn't getting the full range of motion.

It's super simple to set up, just a little bit of a pain. If you add 45's to both sides of the Olympic bar, you can easily just roll it right above yourself. That's it! You're welcome. Haha:D

Personally I've lost lbs and have been able to hit some major PRs. Even with using creatine, which usually results in about 5 extra lbs. But I've also been hitting the cardio hard and eating at a slight deficit. So it's dependent.

I've read women getting a bit of bloat and a gain of 8-10 lbs on cycle is normal, with about 5-8 lbs coming off about 2 weeks after cycle. This is women recomping or bulking on var.

Yay! Are you finally seeing it? I think i may have gotten lucky myself in the gene department. Time will tell

Numbers increasing in weight and iron. That's awesome. Good job crystal. Have you noticed a major difference in well being?

I'm dreading the extra bloat! That's what I was thinking this might be, ha. Please be muscle gainzzzz!

I have definitely put on a little bit of muscle in these past few weeks! Super happy about that. The scales been going up a little faster than I like in the last few days and I'm not sure if it's water retention or what. Lucky you! I hope I have good genes, too.:D

Thanks, @Thenewera ! Yes, I'm trying to make sure my numbers keep going up each week, even if just by a little bit.:) Got to take advantage while I can!

I haven't noticed a huge difference in well-being throughout my cycle, but I certainly feel it more within the first few hours of taking my var. I just feel amped and happy. Ha!!

I don't see anything.I was born a skinny poor country boy. I just ate my spinach. Kidding, of course genetics are real. I see it everyday in the gym when I see a 20 year old kid bigger then me and I've been training half my life. It's definitely not cause he trains harder then me. Some are just blessed.

Youve come along way yourself crystal. Dont worry about the number on the scale, just what is in front of you i the mirror.

Edit: coming from low t, now that i have normal levels, im starting to fill in nicely. Hopefully i can get as solid as @OdieM. Shit what do they feed you guys down in southern texas? For you to say everyone is your size or bigger. Fill me in on the secret!

It's probably pollution to be real about it man. I live in an area with LOTS of chemical/oil/gas refineries. Shit I worked in them half my life till a few years ago and still find myself in some of them with the new job from time to time. Oh and don't short change yourself bud. You look great.

Day 25

Weighed in at 134.2.

Today I mostly did back and hip thrusters. I decided to throw in calves last minute because my husband made a comment to me and said I'm looking good and legs look great but my calves look small. I was not happy to hear that. =\ I thought I was genetically blessed in the calf department, so I haven't really been doing lots of isolation exercises. I guess it's time to step it up.

I attempted to break my BW pull-up PR and failed. I got to 7 and 1/2 pull-ups before my muscles gave out. I couldn't get my chin over the bar. I guess you can't break PR's every workout. Oh well. I'm going to get it next time. Just watch!;)

Still taking 15mg per day. Nothing new to report as far as sides.

Got a compliment from one of the regulars at my gym. She said I've been looking a lot more muscular lately and that it's noticeable in my arms and legs. The paranoia started kicking in for me again, lol.

Tomorrow I plan on doing cardio before lifting. I was feeling extra buff when the pump started kicking in during my workout today, but it wasn't in a good way. I'm all for making gainz and want to build more muscle (obviously) but I just felt big today. Hoping it's just water retention but will feel better about myself if I do some cardio.

Looking good Crystal, I'm so damn busy I only get to check in here every so often.. But I am very damn impressed by the progress you have been making.
