Crystal's 1st Cycle Log. Anavar Only.

Morning everyone,

Whoops, I just realized I kind of made a mistake with my PR number above. I actually hit a 20# PR with BB hip thrusts yesterday, not #10.:p
275-295 in a week.

Day 15 Yesterday

Morning all,

So I did back yesterday but threw in some light glutes as well at the end of my workout. I'm really loving the endurance that var has given me so far. I also noticed in the last couple days that I'm able to recover much quicker. Huge plus and definitely going to take advantage of it and lift a little more than I normally would off cycle. Will listen to my body of course and if a rest day is needed, I will take it. I just feel like I have so much pent up energy!

Although I mostly did back, my shoulders had a pretty intense pump going on. It was a little distracting but nothing I couldn't handle.

This was yesterday's workout:

Body weight pull-ups (dead hang)
2x6

Assisted pull-up machine
3x12 **focused on the squeeze**

Seated Lat pull down
#7 plate 2x10
#5 plate 1x12
#3 plate burnout

Plate-loaded Lat pull down
45's 2x10

Cable low row
#7 plate 3x8
#5 plate 2x12 w/2 sec. hold per rep. 6 sec. hold on last rep

Standing cable pullovers
#2 plate 3x10 **focused on the the squeeze**

Face-pulls
#4 plate 4x12

Heavy band hip thrust
3x10

Reverse hyper
20lbs. 2x12

Lateral band walk
2x20

Abs
Hanging leg raises

Day 16

Weighed in at 133lbs. this morning.
I'm two pounds up from my starting weight but look leaner. My shoulders are starting to have the capped look, stomach is flatter, I have more definition in my arms and back and my legs and glutes are looking fuller. Loving the way my body is looking so far and it just motivates me to push even harder.

I don't know what my body fat percentage is yet, but will be using my new calipers later to measure.

Today's workout:

Light squats- ass to grass!
95lbs x 20
95lbs. x 12
95lbs. x 15

Standing hip abduction
200lbs. x 20
155lbs. x 30

Flat bench
Warmup w/bar
75lbs x 10
75lbs. x 10
75lbs. x 8
Burned out w/bar

Pull-ups
2 x 6

Seated chest press
30lbs. x 8
30lbs. x 12
30lbs. x 12

Seated fly
20lbs. x 15
20lbs. x 15

DB curls
15lb. DB's 2 x 10
20lb. DB's 2 x 8

Leg extension
180lbs. x 3
140lbs. x 8
120lbs. x 9
100lbs. x 10

BB curl
40lbs. x 10
40lbs. x 10
40lbs. x 8

Standing calf raise
75lbs. 1 x 15

Seated calf raise
90lbs. 2 x 20

Lying hamstring curls
35lbs. x 10
25lbs. 2 x 14

Can we talk about the crazy var pumps? Holy crap, I was unable to finish my other two sets for the standing calf raise because my calves felt like they were about to cramp up. I think it might be time to put in an order for taurine.

I haven't been doing much cardio in the last couple weeks. Who am I kidding. I hardly ever do cardio and will probably keep it that way until the second half of my cycle. I've been eating at a surplus and making nice lean gains, so I'd like to continue on and see where it takes me a few weeks from now. Will add in cardio if I start to feel fluffy or when I feel like it's time to cut.

In other news, an older gentleman at my gym who is huge as fuck and shredded asked me if I compete. Not sure if he meant bikini or figure, but I'll take it.:p Turns out, he works for Muscle & Fitness magazine and is a competitor himself.

Will update once I get my body fat measured.:)

Quick update. I just calculated my body composition with plastic calipers and an online calculator. The results were as follows:

Body fat percentage: 18.68%
Body fat in weight: 24.8 lbs
Lean body weight: 108.2 lbs

I'm not sure how accurate this is, but I really wish I would've measured my body fat prior to cycling, to gauge how much fat I've actually lost so far.

Day 17
Rest.

Yesterday was Day 18. Still at 15mg daily split between AM and PM.

I increased my squat from last week by 10lbs. Wish I had a spotter towards the end because I'm sure I would've been able to get in one more rep, but didn't want to chance it since I was alone.

Did abs at the end of my workout and had to cut it short because my core muscles started cramping up. Not fun!

Slightly OT but I have a question for you fellas that have done a test only cycle. Just how much does the testosterone affect your temper and patience? Do you notice that you have a shorter fuse or have more aggression? No, I don't plan on pinning myself with it, ha. I'm currently dealing with someone who has been acting a little out of control and being kind of a jack-ass lately. I think in his head he uses being on cycle as an excuse to act the way he does. I have a bad temper as well (which I've been very good about managing over the years) so it's been very frustrating for me to be the calm and "bigger" person in this situation. Just trying not to let it escalate more than it should.

Anyway, on to the lifts:

BB squats
Warmup w/bar 2x20
165. x 7 PR
165lbs. x 5
135lbs. 1x8

BB Hip thrust
175lbs. 3x12

RDL
90lbs. 2x16

45 degree hyper
25lbs. x 15
30lbs. x 15

Leg extension
180lbs. 1x5
160lbs. 1x7
140lbs. 1x10
140lbs. 1x9 1/2
Burnout w/50lbs.

Glute kickback machine
40lbs 2x12 focused on the burn

Standing hip abduction
200lbs. 1x20 superset w/seated 155lbs. 1x15 - twice

Seated adduction
65lbs. 2x20

Abs
Hanging leg raises, bent-knee hip raise and bicycle crunch.

Still feeling very solid, lifts are up and enjoying the increased endurance.

Sides are still mild. Slightly oily hair (which went away last week) but is back again and occasionally cramping up while lifting.

I think in his head he uses being on cycle as an excuse to act the way he does.

I think you're probably right ;)

If he's normally kind of a jerk with a short fuse, it's fair to say that the test might escalate that characteristic and make him a little bit more of a jerk with a shorter fuse. However, everyone I know who takes AAS is calm, cool and collected to the point you'd never even know they were on anything. As a matter of fact, I find AAS users to be pretty chilled out people in general. Blaming the test for how you act is a convenient excuse.

Tren on the other hand... Different story I think although I've not tried it yet.

Def get some taurine. Sometimes I forget to take it and I'm reminded with painful pumps or cramps.
When I do take it makes a world of a difference.

Keep killing it girl!

I'm nicer and more patient.... Why wouldn't you be you are feeling the best you ever will! This excuses are bullshit. This isn't a stab at anyone but I was taught that anger and a short temper are just linked to someone's lack of intelligence to sort something out rationally. The person in which you speak really can't be getting his temper elevated because if you notice then his "family" has noticed too and that's not a situation he needs to be in. Make sure he knows it so he can be vigilant because he should have that totally under wraps.

I have felt a bit more aggressive and there are a couple times where I elongated a lecture to my kiddo about homework (or the other day she was playing with the bristles of my toothbrush as I blow dried her hair and I just went on and on about how gross that was with an elevated tone. I was MAD). So I dunno, as it's not normal for me to make a big deal about stuff with my daughter, especially. Yet on the other hand I've been completely rid of my anxiety which I was taking meds for pre-cycle.

It's hard to predict with brain chemistry and stress levels. But it shouldn't be an excuse to let out your bad side, no matter what.

^x2 i noticed the ones inmy family that are cool and collected tend to be more intelligent. The ones that have short tempers didnt finish high school or had a difficult time in academics. I believe anger and scandalism is a result in the lack of education/morals/values

I'm glad to read that and you have confirmed what I believed to begin with. He never vocalized it and said it was the test that's making him shorter fused, but I know he is thinking it because prior to starting his cycle, that's what he was worried about.

No AAS will make you a motherfucker, tren can give you more aggression but is still manageable, I never was a violent person unless I need to defend myself, but that's different, so I can maybe find I have a shorter fuse on it, I'll notice that and just walk away or take a deep breath and smile :)

Most of the time it gives me a feel like I'm a demigod, so why would I get angry towards mere humans? they are bugs... I see them like that :)
works wonder :)

except when you are in bed and you are doing a bit of roleplay, no blood going to the brain... shit can hit the fan fast lol
I suggest to not do any bdsm on tren ahaha :)

I know, right? I've been feeling great most of the time on cycle but will admit that lately, my patience has been short. It may very well just be my current situation and extra stress. Husband is always away for work related things and having fun with other adults while I am home 24/7 dealing with children that are constantly bickering or crying plus tending to all the cooking, cleaning, homework, etc.

You make a great point. I wish he would realize it too.

Thanks for sharing your experience. Certain things that my children do will get me so irked as well, and I have to remind myself not to loose it. I don't, but sometimes I feel like I am on the verge. The difference is that my husband just loses it and lashes out at me and the kids. It's really pissing me off.

But the difference is that you know when to take a deep breath and just walk away or let it go.

I suggest to not do any bdsm on tren ahaha :)
Mental note taken, lol.
