Crystal's 1st Cycle Log. Anavar Only.

She is slimming down, not as fast as she would like, but im seeing slight definition. Water is coming down. She did have a lack of mitivation coming off, but im pushing her. She is to resume full blown training with me this week. God i love a girl that keeps up and does all my lifts and training routine. Tough as nails i say
For the record, she went full blown bulk on litteraly about 3k cal. She shot up like a beast from 125 to 145... i was so proud *tear :eek:

Edit: i hope and feel like i know a bit about womens nutrition. If im wrong, im still proud at what she accomplished and the way she looks. She feels stronger and better looking than after crossfit. She was thick then, but shes just a babe now
 
She did gain fat, but were both guessing it was because of the added estrogen and pregestorone due to bc. I told her to come off for the cycle but she loves sex too much she didnt want any risks involved.(she will litteraly take her bc as fucked up as we both may be at any given instance(alcohol)) so shes did have a lot of water retention. Shes shedding that off, legs especially calves are thick as fuck. Shes a bit self concious but she is realizing she may have expected a bit too much on her first...(its what i said about her first lol) anyways, amazing results, and her compound movements increased about 20-30 pounds... if i were to die or pass out, my babes got me!!
 
Short version: Your only gonna gain a few lbs of actually muscle period. Do you want to bulk and have to cut or do you want nice steady lean gainz?
I vote for bulk :D

I really appreciate you guys and gals so much for your input and advice. All is welcome and it's so interesting to see what others' points of views are in regards to training/eating/etc.

Not sure if there is any miscommunication on my part but let me clarify, just in case!

Yes, I am currently bulking and eating just a little over maintenance, so I'm not doing any sort of crazy "dirty bulk" or way overeating on calories. I understand that fat comes with the territory, even if you're "lean bulking".

When I say I want to gain lean muscle, that is in regards to upper body. I hate to sound like those annoying girls that don't lift and say, I don't want to be "bulky" up top, but I don't. I want lean yet muscular arms and shoulders. As far as legs and ass, give me bulky, give me buff. I'll gladly take it all.:D

So my real dilemma was whether I should drop the weights down when I do shoulders and arms, and focus on lighter weights with higher reps instead of going as heavy as I can (what I've been doing).

I most definitely will continue to go heavy and as hard as I can for legs and booty. There's no stopping me.;)

Drop the weights and do higher reps for delts and arms like you mentioned. Even when I do delts as funny as I may look I only start out with 15 lb DBs.

Not funny at all. I do my seated laterals with 25's. Strict and them delts just get rounder and rounder. I don't think I could do much more in any real form
 
Yup, like Odie mentioned lighter weight and higher reps.
It's so interesting how we all have our preferences. I do wanna get bulky arms and shoulders. Absolutely love that capped shoulder look.
It's so difficult for me though. I'm def a hard gainer :(
I want arms like Bluedress's when I grow up
 
Well, I dropped the weights down and did high reps and I have to say, my shoulders and arms are shot! I've never felt them burn as bad as they were earlier and now.

It was a nice change from going heavy. I know my shoulders are going to thank me for it.
 
Day 28

Weighed in at 135.2.

Today I did shoulders and arms. I used much lighter weights and did high reps. It's so different than what I'm used to, but I think I like it. My shoulders and arms were on fire for the majority of my workout. Will continue doing shoulder and arm days like this, and see where it takes me.

I dropped my dose back down today to 10mg per day, due to not being able to get even cuts. Hopefully I will keep making good strength gainz on this dose and continue seeing nice physical changes in my body. If all goes well, I plan to stay at 10mg per day for the next few weeks.

I noticed my period is much lighter in comparison to how it usually is. That's definitely a plus.

No blemishes or changes in skin. I don't notice any hair fallout so far. Still drinking on average about a gallon of water per day. Libido still up and no significant changes in mood.

Will measure my body fat with calipers in a few days from now. Just waiting until the little bit of water retention I have, due to it being Shark Week is gone, lol.:cool:

Good looking workout you had. I do shoulders before I do bis as well and it sucks cause my shoulders are on fire for the rest of the workout. Sounds like you may of had a similar experience. No pain no gain.

Great log Crystal. I wouldn't think cutting your dose by 2.5mg would be to noticeable but then again it doesn't take much for you lady's to see results on it. Keep us posted.

I'm with OdieM - women are so hard on themselves and make themselves miserable over nothing. At least BlueDress does that all the time. 10,000 "bricks" make up make a beautiful wall - and she seems to see the only one imperfect brick...

Also on shoulders. You don't need big weight for big shoulders. With 8 muscles connecting the most unstable joint in the human body, it doesn't take a lot of weight to train them with good form - nor injure them when you aren't strict. Stick with your plan for lower weight and high volume. Good to shock them and mix it up too. At a girl.

Yes! My shoulders were burning like craaazy, even when I was just doing biceps with baby dumbells. I woke up this morning and my shoulders and arms were feeling nice and tight, plus I got that good next day pain going on. I'm such a masochist, ha. But really, my arms and shoulders haven't had DOMS in quite a while and it's a welcoming feeling. Thanks again for your advice!

Awe, you are very sweet. I know exactly the way BlueDress feels. It's hard not to nitpick at the imperfections. For me at least. Definitely going to work on more positive thinking.:)

Really glad to hear I can still build nice size without having to go heavy on the shoulders. It was a really nice change from my usual routine of going heavy with less reps. I also didn't have any shoulder pain afterward, like I usually do. Huge plus.
