Daily Log to 2019 Show Season

Idk if you watch Mountaindog1's videos, but since you're training arms ED you might wanna try this...

It's a great exercise imo.

I saw that recently, I like meadows because he’s essentially a laymen when it comes to his concepts. He’s very smart, but he’s not gumming shit up with anatomy and overly complex ideas.

Cool to see: comparison at same point out from 2017 prep into a national show to this years qualifier. So add another 10-12 weeks on top of that for weeks to a national show. Not a bad spot. I know the angle is different, tried to give the old me a help on scaling to adjust for it.

Damn, well done brother.

200.6 this morning...i think Saturday’s AM check-in with my coach is the sad day i become a 100lb club member again.

*cue the Sarah McLachlan - Angel background music with the black and white montage of me walking around at 215+*

Noticing I am not staying full/pumped long after workouts which means carbs are being used well and bottoming out a bit as far as what I need to maintain that. I’d say roughly double that (350 now, 700ish is double) will probably be a daily carb goal for filling out before a show from a completely depleted state. We’ll see.

I did these last friday and will do them again today. Had to use the squat rack with a normal bar and a 10lb plate on it (gym setup), but I can say they definately work. My arms were burning afterwards.

Arms every day
1. DB Curls SS Overhead DB Extensions - 3x12–15ea
2. High Preacher Curls SS Cable Tricep Extensions (Cable behind, over shoulder) - 3x12ea

Calves
1. Standing Calf Press - 5x8-15 (last 3 sets are failure at heavier weights)
2. Seated Calf Raise - 3x12-15x 1xFailure at 8 reps

Got a “massage” yesterday. More brutal tissue release and intense cupping than massage though. 90m of absolute excruciating pain. But the difference in the mirror this morning is nuts.

I haven’t commented much on prep itself. Overall it’s been a breeze so far. I hve never lost weight day over day like this. 197.6 this morning. Still over 4500 cals (food just went up a bit, I’ll calculate later). I’ll be a LHW for the qualifier but I think we’re guna be concocting a 10-12lb weight drop in the last few days and come in as a MW to nationals.

Excuse the mess. Wife’s away for the weekend and I enjoyed not keeping shit in order. Clean up before she gets back today lol.
