First Bodybuilding Show Log from 30-weeks Out

Nice man! You seem to have very good proportions. Judging by your relax pose maybe lower lats will be a little harder to build since you have a long torso, but overall you look very good.

Agreed, lower lats have been a pain due to where my lats insert. It’ll just take years to build any real thickness down there but have been working on building up the erectors at least to add a little thickness to my back lat spread but hope I can get some thick lower lats by the time I want to fight for a pro card

I think your lats look great. And for what it's worth, there are lots of guys who have more of a goblet rather than a V shaped back. I have to feel it's mostly genetic quality that you can improve but should also embrace.

Agreed I do think high lats look great from the front, but I’ve noticed a small amount of growth with lat rows so will see if I can’t grow them better next offseason.

Even if you try hard you'll get to a point you can't grow them more, this doesn't mean you don't have to try it at all. It's like calfs, if you don't have them you train them heavy, high volume and frequency..you don't neglect them because they're not gonna grow much.

Dennis Wolf is a great example of a guy that had high lat insertions and after lots of work he managed to improve it significantly.

And lets be honest, doing a lat spread and having lats hanging down like Franco Columbo or Lee Haney or even nowdays like Hadi Chopan is outstanding, they're like bats from behind.

@buzzingonaas Deadlifts are awesome for errectors (once you mentioned it) also i believe one arm dumbel rows are perfect for improving low lats.

Did he have you pull bloods to see where thyroid levels where before adding T3 and T4?
Yeah. I’ve actually suspected some thyroid issues. My bloodwork reflects subclinical hypothyroidism for the past year (high tsh or low t4 suggesting my thyroid is working overtime). I’ve had some slow transit issues ever since starting prep and have wondered if thyroid could be part of it. If I wasn’t being coached I would’ve tried T3 out like 3 weeks ago to see lol. If this fixes my slow transit/constipation, I’ll find an endo after the show to get my thyroid checked out

Awesome. I know T3 really messed up one of his shows so I figured he only gives it to clients who actually need it. I see a lot of coaches throwing it in at beginning of prep just because.

Yeah I’ve heard it can cause muscle wasting but I do trust my coach he brings his guys in really conditioned so just following everything he says and will assess after the show, but this should be more helpful than harmful given my thyroid numbers for the past year or so

Non-fasted pics with chest pump. Seem to be responding well to the clen and T3. Excited for a hopeful drop in calories and boost in cardio this upcoming week. Was tripping out mentally over the scale going up a few pounds after starting clen but after seeing today’s visuals I’m more relaxed
