Unfortunately if RP lived long enough , he could have become one of few BB icons willing to list and/or openly discuss the dangers of HIGH DOSE AAS abuse.

He was in his late forties and I've spent the past hour or so reviewing some of the changes in his gait over time, and to me it seems relatively obvious he was suffering from some of the untoward MS changes that occur in a number of BB that LIFT HEAVY for decades.

Some of these guys refuse to admit their lifestyle is catching up with them and often become dependent upon Narcs as a means of delaying the inevitable.

Pity bc I believe RP had so much more to give those in the BB community, once the dust settled.

Rich piana has even said in his videos before its catching up to him.

I believe @dr.jim is correct that most of the 300+ pound bb turn to some type of pain pill from carrying all the extra weight around, pulling and pushing so much heavy weight for so long and after 20+ years things start to break down... this once again, leading back to pain killers/narcs.

I dont think he really planned on being around a long time man. He sold out for the lifestyle. The tats head to toe, 300+ lbs , heavy cycles for nearly 3 decades at a time when your supposed to be scaling things back. The crazy cosmetic surgeries. Who the fuck does that? He pretty much walked it like he talked it and that was that. In a way its kinda admirable. Not that i would do that. But it is admirable. His terms...all the way.

I just want to say THANK YOU Rich for teaching me so much about life, whether it was the easy or the hard way.
