Rob's log part 2 (gonna take a crack at PLing)

First month I had my inzer I had bleed probably 4 times through my shirt and every time I wore it I got blood blisters on my hips and ribs, guess that's what I get for being short.

Can't wait until I can jokingly do 405 and aspire to do 495. Keep it up rob you are my motivation
I've had mine for over a damn year and still does that shit.

Unfortunately we can't grow taller but we could buy 3" wide belts but I very much like my 4" inzer even though it hurts me. Have you tried breaking the leather a bit by folding it and rolling over the folded bit with a loaded barbell or placing plates on top of it when folded? That's what helped mine a lot

I've always keep it rolled while not wearing and lots of other things I've read as well. Never tried the plates while folded though. I'll have to give that a shot

The squats looked good. Nothing major stood out to me on the first viewing.

I wear my belt up high to avoid it fucking my hips and thighs up. It's literally as high as I can get it, just below the ribs.

Appreciate it.

I will have to wear it on Friday when I squat again. I try to keep it right under my rib cage.

What kind of belt do you have again and what size? Has this always been an issue or just recently?

It's 4in 13mm GASP double prong. It's always been that way. I've had it for a while. It's great for heavy bench because it doesn't fuck with me. DLs if I hike it way way up I can handle it but I can't tighten it as much as I'd like. Since I almost always squat atg it eats me up

Which part of the belt is eating you up on squats?

You're barely an inch shorter than me and we're about the same body weight. You have more muscle and a lower body fat percentage than I do but our actual squat mechanics and depth are surprisingly similar. I have a 4in 13mm Inzer lever lock and get no such issues during my squats. If anything, my belt hampers me on deadlifts, doesn't hurt only prevents me from getting a deep breath of air in the starting position, so I tend to wear the belt backwards for pulls.

It's just the bottom edge. I'll try to hike it up higher next time. I just don't want to get into the ribs

Robs squat is BEAST!
IF EVERYONE SQUATED LIKE YOU. THERE WOULD BE NO LIARS OR HALF REPPERS

Appreciate it brother. I have to admit I hate half reppers on squat. If you can't hit parallel or lower you need to take the damn weight off and get that shit figured out.

I do one half rep every squat day :(

Usually its after my workout. I do a weight heavier than I know I can handle and walk it out and do a half / quarter rep to get a feel. My max is 405 and I did 455 last time. I get some dirty looks... Im sorry

There's this guy at my gym that loads ridiculous weight and keeps squatting higher and higher while screaming nonsense to himself about how he can't even feel it and it's too easy. Then brags to girls and teenagers how he's repping 500+. So annoying.

Now Jay. We are talking about guys that workout like that the whole time. You know the ones that stack 4 plates on and when you just saw the struggle getting to parallel with 225.

Your basically doing a negative or something similar (overload).

I always feel dirty afterward though. I have to do something heavy right afterwards to show gym people Im legit.

I do have one fat dude in my gym. He loads up 405 on the bench and moves it about a half inch. I can never figure out its actually a part of his workout or if counts them as reps.
