The Basics of Ordering Bloodwork

My primary wouldn't do it without endo referal. When I asked for a hormone panel in my blood work, she was like "ur too young to need to worry." I was like bitch I'm tryna juice hella!!! Haha nah I didn't say that, but if ur willing to pay I dnt get why they wouldn't do it. I'll def need to pursue an alternative.

it's generally a good idea to keep your steroid use a secret from your doctor. Only divulge that info when medically necessary not to save a buck on blood work

If you are going to do an HGH Cycle, should u get the Insulin-Like Growth Factor I (IGF-I) test? For a stack of hgh and roids, would u do IGF-1 test and hormone panel for females?

It comes up often, and I thought it would be helpful to have links all in one thread.

For best results, get bloods taken pre cycle, mid cycle, and a couple months after PCT.

Pre cycle and post cycle bloods can be done the cheapest, You can order the "female hormone panel" from privatemdlabs.com. This test will give you blood info, LH, FSH test and estro numbers that are correct if your not on a cycle. This test costs $62 and often has discount codes available.
Private MD - Buy Lab Tests Online

Labsmd.com also offers a female hormone panel and costs about $70.
LabsMD - Simple and Secure Lab Tests Online

Mid cycle bloods can not be done as cheaply. The testing method needs to be LC/MS.
The privateMD female panel cuts off at a test level of 1500.
You can use the female hormone panel from Labsmd.com

If your cycle does not include deca, tren, or similar 19-nors you can use a few different tests from privateMD. PrivateMD will often give false readings from blood containing tren or deca. The tren shows up as E2 and the deca shows up as grossly exagortated test level.

This hormone panel costs $99 and will give an accurate test number over 1500.

Labsmd.com uses Quest Diagnostics for there blood draws and lab work.
PrivateMDlabs.com uses LabCorp for blood draws and lab work.
The company you order from functions as your DR and orders the tests for you. There are labs all over the country, it should be easy to find one near you.
I'm looking for the equivalent of that "female hormone panel" that was referenced first with the "blood info, LH, FSH test and estro numbers" before going into a cycle.

A lab here in town has a list to select from.

Code:
http://requestatest.com/womens-health-testing

Could someone with experience here advise me on which test I should get?

Why don't you just use one of the labs listed at the first page of this thread?

That lab is not in your town. They are just like Labs md.com and use Quest to do the blood work

Yeah, but the lab in town is Quest - you go to the website to pick what you want scheduled, then show up to get the blood work done.

The reason I don't get a kit is because I'm not skilled in drawing blood out of my own veins, so if I get a kit then I've got to take it somewhere to have the blood collected (unless I misunderstand the process). I'd rather pay someone who knows what they are doing.

labsmd is basically quest too.
nobody is doing their own blood draws, except maybe a few oddball tests that use a finger prick.

Can you explain what the kit is, then? I mean, this one:
Code:
http://www.privatemdlabs.com/lab_tests.php?view=all&show=1032&category=14&search=#1032
That looks like a kit for $67, but how does my blood get into the test? I don't think I could just walk into a hospital and ask them to fill a vial with my blood. Right? So, this blood draw is being done somehow.

If there was a post in here explaining how to draw the blood, I must have missed it while trying to skim over all of the off-topic flaming that goes along with these threads.

You order the blood test. Go on there website and print out the order. Walk into a quest diagnostics hand them that paper with your ID. They draw it and send it to the lab. 2-4 days later you get an email with all the results. Easy as that :)

OK, that was really freakin' easy!

So, what do I do with these numbers? Is there another thread dedicated to reading the results?

Code:

Testosterone is at 423 ng/dL, where it is looking for 264-916 range.

The only flag in there was my sodium at 145 mmol/L, where it is looking for 134-144 range.

Is my Testosterone OK?

What does it mean when sodium is high? I don't eat much processed food, and I fasted before the test.

Told you it was easy.

Black out your name and any personal info and post the results..Create a thread and post them. Explain what your taking and how many hours after your last shot you got your blood work drawn. Then just ask for people's opinions.

Thanks, just wanted to double check.

Doesn’t look like that panel has prolactin. Anyone know of a panel that does include prolactin they’ve used when on Deca from labsmd?

Haven’t been able to find much on prolactin searching so far
