Welcome To Planet Mother Fucker

Congratulations on the house again! That is an awesome feeling Christmas in your own home. Sounds like things are going good with atlas, I'm thinking about trying them out next year. Good luck on the HVAC surgery, I'm working 6 days a week currently putting anywhere from 160-220 miles a day on my truck. Saving for a little 4 banger for commuting. Anyhow have a good weekend dude.
The atlas thing is strange to me. I'm used to pounding down an immense amount of calories and watching the scale move north like crazy, hitting heavy weights and low volume. This time it's a slow and steady type of thing, despite eating almost nonstop everyday lol. I feel like I should be so much farther along with dem weight gains but when I stop and look at progress pics I am noticing definition and growth that looks pretty good. My back is starting to take a good shape, mid section is still a bit fluffy but it's solid, arms and shoulders have grown a fair amount too. Moral of the story is I'm not really giving a damn about the scale so much right now. I feel great, looking pretty good and have a great handle on nutrition. Admittedly I'm not the most communicative client but having a couple coaches looking at your progress and all that is motivation to do the right shit, consistently. It's a big help knowing that I have to check in and be accountable for my actions throughout the week. If you habe the extra cash it's not a bad idea

Glad your seeing results! Not to hijack your thread but tomorrow will be the end of my first week with atlas down 3lbs. Test only because I’m fuk n waiting on some other shit. Anyway I know what you mean about the proteins lol. Steak, turkey, chicken and beef! I do crave fucking carbs. And it’s only week 1 . Hoping in another week or 2 I will get rewarded with a eat whatever the fuck you’d want meal or day lol. Much respect to people who do this year round. Guess that’s why I’m fat lol. Glad the house is coming around for you.

The decrease in weight will turn around, it was a mind fuck for me. This was the first time I've ever seen the scale go down when on cycle. You'll enjoy your progress.

Forewarned, the nutritional plan doesn't waver. It's non stop quality foods and nothing else. It was tough for a bit but I turned the corner and now it's just part of my life. Meal prep has even become pretty fast and easy with meats being the bulk of the prep time. It's worth it.

And hijack away bro, lol. This thread needs some life to it! Maybe some tattooed buttholes? :D:D:p:p

Hope the sunshine State is treating you well. We're prepping for the winter right now. Hopefully it's an easy one, but you gotta be ready for the worst lol. I just feel so bad for all those fuckers that still don't have hot water or heat from the gas line explosions. It's a damn shame. Most of them will be out of luck well into 2019

I don’t know if you guys are allowed to do this or not but could give a little more insight to the program atlas has you guys on. I feel like that what I’m asking is wrong for some reason but it’s really just out of general curiosity. I read a little of their intro post and all of yours icky but I’m just curious of their design for the programs that they are creating. As well as the workouts. I’m off cycle right now for the next two months and can’t decide how I will continue in the gym and definitely have no idea come January what cycle and workout program/style I will do. That’s why I was thinking about using them in January. I guess I’m just looking for some info/inspiration.

@ickyrica and I are doing 2 different things I believe. He’s putting on size and I’m trying to cut fat and keep most of my size. I can say the diet is pretty good. It’s a good percentage protein with moderate carbs and fats. Again our workouts are probably different. Mine is legs focused because I have neglected them for ever. The workouts are very specific and are focused on certain parts daily. Not just normal bench, curl, back, squat shit. It’s has really opened my eyes to how incomplete I really am.

I can bench 485 but can’t do more then 3-4 pull ups. I can leg press about a grand but can’t squat my own body weight. I feel like such a bitch doing there program. It has highlighted my weaknesses and really pisses me off knowing I’ve spent the last 5 years worried about bench numbers and having a big chest and arms. Weighing over 300lbs is getting old and makes everything I do a chore.

The diet I know I can stick with 100%! The workouts on the other hand is gonna really test my dedication.

I'm absolutely trying to put on size. I'm a paltry 250# at 6 foot tall! I know I'm not made out to be a mass monster but I'd love to maximize as much as possible right now. It's something to chase at the gym lol.

They have me running a progressive overloading type program. I'm hitting all body parts twice a week but I'm putting most of my effort into upper body. My wheels are garbage. Luckily they aren't small so I don't look lopsided. I'm not getting comfortable with the workouts at all, meaning the actual exercises are always evolving as my progress goes (presumably based on feedback to atlas). Just when I think I'm getting into a grove I find myself adjusting yet again to a new pattern of workload.

On paper I'm intimidated by the volume but I've grown into it. I used to do higher volume stuff before I joined the PL side so I figured it would be a decent transition.

They have me doing exercises that I've never done before, which is cool but a decent learning curve. For instance, I'm doing per minor dips. Never even heard of em and it took maybe 20 sets before I started to get my pecs to fire off correctly. Love them now. If you do them correctly it puts an enormous amount of work into your pecs.

As to what @HIGHRISK pointed out regarding having weakness exposed, i feel his pain. I've been pretty incomplete as a lifter in some areas, and in others I've been great. Any well rounded plan will expose weakness and Atlas certainly has the talent to do so. Trust me :(

Anyway, hope that helps!

@ickyrica @HIGHRISK thanks for the feedback. I think I will spend the next two months in maintenance mode. I was doing push pull legs through the summer but had to give it up because the push (chest shoulders) was to much much for me. Doing a incline chest press followed by a shoulder press was killer. After One set of chest and one shoulder set my shoulders would hurt. By the time I got to triceps it felt like pure fire. I did that routine for a few weeks but the shoulder pain became to much and I went to a chest/tri. Back/bi. Legs/shoulders. I liked this one because I would hit all of them twice a week but not be in crippling pain. MTW I would strength train. TFS I would hypertrophy. Im up in the air for now but like I said I’ll figure out something for the next two months. It’s January that has me wondering.

Seriously weird feeling but it was for a specific reason. Was talking with a couple fellas about getting a better mind muscle connection and a short ester injection in the offending muscle was suggested. The trauma may give you a better connection kind of thing. Well, I haven't worked out yet but I can squeeze my lat better since the injection. I think the claim may have some real implications lol. My left lat is lagging behind the right so hope this helps!!

Scale weight can fluctuate 10lbs a day. That’s very high but still possible. I’d say the average is 3-6lbs a day depending on daily diet and when you weigh yourself.
