Welcome To Planet Mother Fucker

Distributed audio like that generally should be a good 16 gauge speaker wire, doesn't need to be bigger. Your home theater or man town speaker wiring should be a 14g to your L/C/R and surrounds. Subs get a 12g cable at the smallest. If you have the sub away from your equipment rack drop it to a 10g. It's worth the money.

If you want a volume control in each room, simply put a single gang mudring in an appropriate place (generally near, but not directly next to, the electrical switches in the room) and run the speaker wire to that location before it goes to the speakers. What you have is a location to place an potentiometer (fancy word for spinning knob that does electrical stuff). Easy stuff. Leave about 12" of cable at the volume control location so it's easy to pull the device out of the wall and work on it.

The cameras should have a cat6 and an 18/2 run to them.

Video is a little trickier since the whole digital trend set in so if you have fancy dreams about what you want an in depth conversation has to happen because things like HDCP become an issue really fast sometimes. But, once the desires are known it's really easy to make it all work.

Any thoughts into control? A/V dorks like me know how to integrate an entire house into a professional control system. Control all audio, video, hvac, lights, shades, what ever you want from any point if control in your house (touch panels) or any wireless device like an ipad, laptop or cellphone.

Any advice, questions or whatever you need I'm here man. I'm also a dealer for basically any and all manufacturers on the market. You name it, i have direct distribution access. I can typically beat any cost except for what big box stores sell. Their volume can't be fucked with.

Lots of activity at my gym today, kinda pissed me off. Had to improvise on a few exercises. The landmine attachment was broken, somehow lol. Been a crazy day all around. Started work at 5am, didn't get out until 5pm. Shit nutrition all day. Low water intake. Not a stellar performance lol. Did get a good workout though. Did a little extra pack pull work. Got 545 for an pretty easy 3. My strength is slowly creeping up.

Swapping out an old A/V system at a client's restaurant and bar. Streaming technology. 10 gig to each endpoint. Really cool technology, but wicked dorky shit haha. Too many wires, 10 lbs of shit in a 5 lbs bagView attachment 100722
Pretty neat for all the hardware in such a small space. I know who to call for the man cave.

Your hired! I have no idea on any equipment and would love hooking all that shit up together especially to my phones and shit. Again no idea on speakers or subs or amps or anything. I know I want a bad ass surround system. I do know there’s stuff out there that makes Bose there bitch. I would like a small closet space somewhere with all the controls. I’ll have to get with you over the next few months and start getting my shit together. I’m serious about flying you down here bro. First class and I’ll pay you for your time. . No BS. We could get together and get all the shit ordered and delivered here before you arrived. I want this shit done right and not some company selling me shit I don’t need and over charging me.

Oh by the way. This is what I heard while reading your post.

I'll draft up some ideas based on what you've told me and illustrate some other things you may or may not be interested in.

Even if you don't spring for an entire house worth of technology, getting it prewired correctly is huge. It's so fucking intrusive to get wire in place after the fact

Would a floor plan help you?

Yes, it would be great actually. Not sure what you have for plans drawn up but a RCP (reflected ceiling plan) is usually what shows the lighting layout which is crucial for aesthetics. Plan view might be what shows yours, all depends. You happen to have an elevation view as part of the drawing package?

Had some extra days off so I took today and tomorrow. Got my workout in early. Chest and tri day. Fucking murdered it. Still being honest with the weight, still making great reps every set. Feeling pretty damn good as week 8 rolls along.

Update pics at the end of the week
Sounds like you have time for 2 a days:)

Murdered my quads yesterday. Damn leg press. Last set on leg press was a 30 rep dropset. fml lol.

Not sure what the deal is but I'm getting some decent bruises, more than I care to admit, when I pin. Less bf% maybe, hitting viens more often? No clue.

In the teens for temp this morning. Cold as fuck.

I know Boston has a storied North End but guess who runs the city? I'll give you one guess. 20181115_093231.jpg

P.s. I've been naked on top of that building. Wicked fucking funny story right there...
