Daily Log to 2019 Show Season

The
slin-train has arrived. Let’s see what all the fuss is about.

Experimenting with carb-types and timing with insulin is one of the most compelling and interesting things I've experienced. Unfortunately, I can't justify using it anymore until I'm much more developed physique-wise but you're going to have a blast from seeing how you respond to different foods with it. Take as many detailed notes as you can with it and observe yourself and you will get an even deeper depth of understanding to your bodies response to carbs.

To me it's most powerful application that I've experienced wasn't so much the gainz but the ability to temporarily change how you look in a very short period of time to achieve a certain level of freak-factor. I can't imagine what someone with your amount of muscle in a contest ready condition could do with it once you know exactly how you respond to certain foods to produce an even freakier look on competition day. That's where it really would shine imo, but I only have experience using it for growth purposes so I'm not sure how to implement it in that regard.

Thankfully I’ve got a coach who’s familiar with it. Interested to see what it + gH does, if anything, while my cals are so high and oriented towards growth. Carbing up for the stage is a whole new ballgame with it thought that’s for sure.

I'm excited to see you start getting shredded man. 15ish weeks out?
Depending on the show, roughly. Haven’t decided yet. Trying to avoid this 4th of July and a wedding around the same time. The 4th is a big event for my wife’s family and I promised I’d stay away. Wedding is close enough to just wash out those two weeks.

Forced off day today. Wife and I spent 6hrs in the ER for her chest pain. All tests negative, looks tip top.

If anyone here has experience with anxiety, it’s phycial manifestations (chest pain this time), and the meds lorazepam, gabapentin, and Zoloft please chime in.

I take lorazepam. The others weren’t effective for me. Lorazepam works instantly and also best for sleeping. I’m glad she’s ok!

I have a tonne of experience with this. Panic attacks are a regular occurrence for me and there are a few associated physical symptoms that come with it depending on severity.

My symptoms manifest themselves as not being able to calm down, can't catch my breath, feeling lightheaded. Sometimes odd sensations can cause a full-on panic attack from nothing.

I deal with this on a daily basis and even though it's not as bad now due to being much lighter than normal, it's not uncommon for me to let someone around me know when/if I'm not feeling well and to keep an eye on me.

I would say the best thing for an anxiety sufferer to have is someone they trust that's nearby who understands the physical symptoms extremely well and can bring them back to earth or help them calm down. This one is tricky because you don't want to fuck around with chest pains, but I have people I can trust with helping me calm down and if they plainly tell me I'm fine and it's anxiety, it does a lot for helping.

What really sucks, especially for someone like myself who is in this lifestyle, is that the physical symptoms of anxiety are super close to heart issues. Regular EKG's and blood work does a lot for helping me ease my mind knowing everything is 100%, but anxiety is still a motherfucker.

I also don't drink any caffeine, any stimulants, no alcohol, or marijuana. All of these things just make it worse.

Feel free to PM me anytime with regards to this, but I don't mind talking openly about it either.

Glad she's okay though.

(If you've ever heard me say I can't tolerate anything more than moderate doses of AAS, now you know why.)

She’s currently on all three.

TBH I’m skeptical of the doc prescribing these meds. She’s on more shit than me. And it doesn’t seem to help.

Wellbutrin- research that. She wouldn’t have to take anything else. This has it all. No gaining weight either on it.

I think gabapentin is the safest of the three

Advise to search for another doc, no need for all three

Has she tried only gabapdntin ?

Lorazepam can work well for this but it is only short term as symptoms will persist, as well there are long term effects such as dependency and worst that come with use of this medication. Some studies even indicate potential for changes in personality and brain development.

Have not tried anything other than what she was prescribed but i had questions the second she had meds added two visits in a row.

I may not “understand” anxiety but I do understand dependency and medicating vs treating. Especially with an ailment like anxeity.

Just met with my new PCP and man, what a fucking asset this is going to be. Talks openly and honestly about the drugs, no lectures. Sees roughly 30 competitors on a regular basis. Talked diet and supplements as well. Orders the blood work ups BB need. Conscious of the balance between health and success in trying to strike. Everyone needs to find someone like this.

@ickyrica if you’re interested PM me for his info

Glad to be of service.

Told me some stories.

Had a patient going for her pro card at 60. Passed away. Test levels of 2200 when they tested. Why keep a doc on and do silly shit he isn’t aware of. Blows my mind.
