Scoc/Musings of a madman

I like your train of thought on these issues, we definitely needed to try a different approach. Only time will tell if these new ideas will work we just cant be afraid of change.

Trust nobody- it works for me. Every time I made the move to buy from a source I read the entire thread beginning to end... I asked myself- are the people beating the drums doing so over what I feel are genuine concerns? If I wasn't sure I read their individual post history so I could get a feel for that person or persons. Armed with everything at my disposal I would ask them through pm... or consult with whoever had a differing point of view. Or both. I believe on looking before I jump- mapping really. I love my money. You can ask people for help, but don't eat something wholesale out of someone's mouth ever. Draw your own conclusions based on the tools you are given and the few people you decide over time that have like minded interests feelings. It works for me.

Exactly my point... of course you could switch the cold water and put in a poisoned banana that makes the monkey deathly ill amd once they catch on they are protecting each other and seem far more altruistic... which would still bring the same point home. Know why you do what you do- and doing it because someone else is isn't a good reason.

This should be like part of a new member handbook for Meso. I am all for this change in culture, MESO underground had become a twisted soap opera with all the drama around sources. When that isn't even what it should be about. It should be about uncensored conversation about sources from all aspects of their business. It should also be about teaching new members what questions to ask and what answers should raise red flags. Like you say Know the WHY behind all of it.

Sure there will always be sources cause we can't stop it. We should stop trying to prove whether they are good or not, cause we all know the answer is not if you have any time here. What we should do is post all the right questions, give our whys behind our opinions in a fact based way and then let the people decide if they want to chance their money and health on the source. All the while encouraging those that do decide to purchase to do their part for the community by posting Labmax and bloods when possible.

well said! as a new member i often see a lot of unnecessary bullshit between members, no need for that soap opera drama!! let's all work together :)

I believe I owe cbs an apology for coming half-cocked on him and also the board. I think I was misunderstood in the hammer thread as wanting to buy something. I asked about comp for any test on his gear and was pretty much told prices are fair enough and its on the members. So, a big fuck you in my eyes. Second was what the hell was even the promo prices? Next I know... Im being quoted in a sticky thread being a stupid stumbler supporting a start up lab. I can see how cbs got me wrong being followed by nik505 who was all ready working a deal in pm's it looks. Once again... no hard feelings cbs but it was kind of jacked up

I don't remember the post to which you're referring but I don't recall having any issues with you. My writing style is very direct and I often come off as a dick when I don't intend to be. It's also possible that I misread one of your posts and included you in a quote. Regardless, my apologies for any offense caused.

Regards

I don't recall if I mentioned this or not but I like how the UG forum is run in the recent week with the newer format after these suggestions far less cluttered with long threads that don't get to the point or solve anything, plus take forever to sort out all pointless rambling.

Great musings Brutus, my friend. I've been of this mindset for some time. Great post. We as members should be encouraging constructive diologue between each other. Coming together and questioning sources with a level head is the only way to effect change in the right direction. In short, stop talking shit to each other (except for obvious trolls) and empower each member to be able to speak their mind without fear of repercussion. This place is like a second home to me, first sometimes lol. I hate to see it made into a comedic scene by everyone screaming scammer at every source and the infighting amongst members.

Let's get this place back to where it was meant to be.

So happy 2015 everyone! I have been noticing a few things lately that disturb me a bit and feel the need to address them in no particular order.

1. The scoc is well Intentioned, but for all intents and purposes it is worthless. The ideas are great but not enforceable. The division among meso membership even has people telling the source not to worry about conforming to the scoc- they will get orders no matter what. They are right.

2. The approach taken with new sources is wrong in my opinion. All this chest thumping, ego driven attack puts the "source" on the defensive. .. but I feel it undermines our credibility not only "on the street", but also among other members old and new. If we are confrontational to the extreme in the beginning and at the end, plus eveey time we sense an issue we simply become a parody of ourselves... Why not take the approach that the ideas in the scoc be the questions we calmly ask the source about? Why flip out when they say no to something? We can't do shit about it anyway, right? Just make it known why we feel it is a concern they do not reveal or follow tenets of the scoc.

3. Stop harassing newbies who buy- and that means don't smash the thread with "DO NOT BUY SCAMMER" shit when we actually have no proof of scamming... it seems we just yell scammer when they refuse to bend toward our egomaniacal ways- and that isn't right either. People that buy- newbies especially- are gonna buy pretty much no matter what. If we encourage feedback, encourage bloods and encourage labmax use by new members we will have an ever-expanding network of like minded, knowledgeable colleagues. Instead of getting burned and sheepishly running back silently with their tail between their legs they will provide valuable feedback.

4. More bloods. More labmax. We are doing great- I think the strength for the future lies in a larger, well informed membership of empowered individuals. When someone posts asking for a source someone should be VERY NICE- AND NOBODY SHOULD BE A FUCKING ASSHOLE IN THE THREAD. This drives them right to the scammer sources with their flashing neon lights for the ignorant. Explain things. Cut and paste a "reasons why" for a newbie thread. Something that doesn't make someone buy from a scammer and leave the board thinking we are the assholes who drove them to it.

We need more of us- not more enemies. I am finished taking the gargantuan shit I took as I wrote this but I would like to hear feedback from both sides of the fence.

The scoc requires pics of labs, autoclaves etc. Do we really need this or does this really do us any good as potential buyers?? From what i've seen a lot of new sources who come here are hung up at times on this? In my opinion most of what we have seen in the past are from cut paste photos. Now take nothing away from finished product pics. We gotta have those. Id venture to say most ulg's cook in there own kitchen. Who's kidding who. We are not stupid. I used to make tren way back. Done so as clean and sterile as I could BUT in my kitchen. Some of the guys that's been around since 02 03 probably had seen or tried it :0) Anyway, when a new source posts here we hammer them about pics other boards etc...when really, all I wanna know about is the guys track record, quality and test results...I wish we had a test guru (flensor, did I say that, sry fl) and before anything is sold, have it lab maxed. But how do we get our hands on his product without him knowing??? In the past we research him, bash his ass, throw all kinds of stuff at him, usually catching him in a lie and then hes gone or he weathers the storm. How can we test a new supplier and him not know about it???

edit......did not tag anybody. just kinda throwing this out there....

What exactly is the scoc?? Just curious to where it can be found. I have heard so much about it but dont know where its located...

Search source code of conduct, it was a tool we used to use last year to let srcs know what we expect. It was an experiment that didnt pan out, as this isnt a source board. It would give newbs a false sense of security since most srcs would lie there way through it.

Definitely check it out as there are good ideas in there for questions to ask a srcs, but again in no way was it bullet proof.
So in short we dont use it anymore, now we just try to test as much as possible.

Great thread and honest sources should be quick to answer questions and when concerns arise they be up front and proactively resolve the issues. New sources should also be upfront about their offerings and not take offense at anyone putting up a Labmax for that source's offerings.

We are a great community and we should be standing our ground!

I think you are right. It is safe to assume that most UGLs are homebrewing in their kitchen; this is especially applicable to the new startup UGLs. Larger, more established UGLs may have a more sophisticated setup but this is no guarantee.

The reason UGLs have been reluctant to post these pics has little to do with security protocol; they simply don't want to expose the amateurish nature of their operations. It is bad for marketing. Welcome to the world of UGLs.

But really, it doesn't seem like too many consumers care if UGL steroids are made in an apartment kitchen. They may even prefer this as long as the UGL is a "friend" who "has their best interests at heart" and is "only doing it to help out the community".

when really, all I wanna know about is the guys track record, quality and test results...I wish we had a test guru (flensor, did I say that, sry fl) and before anything is sold, have it lab maxed. But how do we get our hands on his product without him knowing???

So, yes. I think too much attention was placed on proof of equipment/etc consistent with the operation of a sophisticated UGL. Far more emphasis should have been placed on analytical testing, labmax, serum blood testing, etc. The most sophisticated lab in the world means little if the powder used to manufacture the AAS products is of questionable quality/content.

I think it is worthwhile to demand that UGLs disclose details of their quality control validation (e.g. how often they test raws and final products, type of testing, whether it conducted internally or by a third party, etc) backed up by lab reports for all of their products. This often seemed like an afterthought when compared to the demand for pics with the SCOC.

This doesn't mean that anyone should trust the UGLs answers and evidence without verifying it independently.

The members who have invested time, effort and money on testing UGL products are on the right track. They are making a big difference.

The pictures of a UGL's equipment really means NOTHING to me. With how sophisticated and easy to use some software programs have become, almost anyone can fake these pictures. Want a pic of an autoclave with a piece of paper with my name and today's date on it? I could "make" that happen relatively easy.

Look at Astro? He basically could have taken photos of pasta making equipment and put his name in front of it, and members would have gone with it.

And even if the UGL owner had connections to take legit pics of legit equipment, who is to say that even 1 drop of oil bottled by the ugl ever passed through that equipment?

Has anyone read the book clockers? Excellent read... Spike Lee made it into a shitty movie- I promise the book is worth reading.

I feel like the book was based on ugl marketing/sales techniques. The short version of what they would do is buy four kilos of blow at a time. One kilo got whacked by 20% and went the all the ounce customers... the other three went to the projects. They would put everything in vials- red caps, green caps, blue caps and yellow. Half of the blow got cut by 60% and half they left uncut. Each color of cap got half cut vials, the other half of that particular color was uncut.

The brilliant part of the whole thing was that the fiends would get a batch of, say, yellow vials uncut and run around saying "the yellow is fire" and they would be promptly switched out. Then blues would hit uncut- resulting clamor for blues. Plenty of dealers had shit better than a 30% cut on those streets, but people would risk the 60 for a chance at the fire.

It's like here

People have good bloods, people swarm the source. Bad bloods, you get people talking about four times bloods being normal- and then another 9 or 10 time blood comes out. I firmly believe each source has multiple labels they sell here and other boards... bad bloods hit, you run to their other label.

What has discouraged me of late is the utter futility of even complaining about it. Of course you should- but a motherfucker is gonna motherfuck. Nobody gives a shit when they have a good batch and good gains. They just run around being the source mouthpiece until they get burned. Then blue caps come out. The real comedy is people REALLY DO ask about cap colors and fucking expiration dates. Smh.

I like the way things are lately... dont see too many fly by nights... the auctions are fucking ridiculous and member brewing is quickly exposed for the amateur operations they are. Nobody is never gonna get burned- and I think it's pretty minimized. Nobody needs to be threatened it seems. Maybe my kind is extinct- it's all im good at. That and eating five guys double bacon cheeseburgers.

It makes sense when a kilogram of cocaine is between $30,000 and $80,000 USD wholesale.

However, anabolic steroid powders are so cheap in comparison, are the UGLs really doing that to save what would amount to pennies and at most a dollar or two per vial? I'm not ruling it out. But is it more likely that they have no clue about the quality of their products and are at the mercy of what they receive from Chinese powder suppliers?

By no means am I trying to let anyone off the hook for producing shit product. Whether they have the best of intentions or they are purposeful scammers, the end result is the same - low quality product.

The best of intentions means nothing if the UGLs are not performing regular analytical testing on raws and finished product. And we know they aren't.

Thoughts?

Unfortunately for your kind Brut, a large portion of our members who have been around for a minute are starting to, or already do believe, that all of us have our hands in the cookie jar in one way or another. Some have lost faith that anyone here is clean - they think that every one of us has some alterior motive, or self interest, for being here.

Many of us know this is not the case, but I am hearing it from members new and old.

What's that old saying? Perception is reality?
