An over 40 forum section?

As we get older we tend to hurt more and take longer to recover. As we are no longer the spring chickens we used to be we need to strategize on training that delivers results with less risk of injury. I am down for a hit or 2 of weed before hitting the gym!

I can't smoke before I work out. I end up spacing out and resting for too long. It destroys my intensity.

After a workout, now that's a different ballgame. A couple puffs of white widow and a cool shower and it's game time.
I wish I could still smoke like I did as a teenager nowadays I just get paranoid and think about all my responsibilities now as an adult. It'd be better if I had someone to smoke with but none of my friends smoke anymore :(

I like this idea
Despite still being in my 30s.

You see guys talk shit all the time.
Like @ToastEater said.
Got guys giving him advice like "Yo, double your doses or your wasting your time"
What kind of advice is that lol?

I dont double my doses... I dunno... because I have a family.. I own a business, I have countless people who depend on me and that I'm responsible to put food on their table.

The fucking 20 year old kids giving stupid advice need to leave you old timers ( :D ) alone.

You guys were pulling numbers when they were still sucking on moms tit.

I was pumped looking at Dr crisler, I think my first trt place sucked but a buddy talked me into trying him and after seeing his pics I figured he gets it. Made the appointment, he died three weeks later

Edit... He was an old dude but fairly jacked, he died of a heart attack. Be careful boys and girls

I feel like taking the edge off on the daily at some point or another would a dually improve my damn lifespan , haha. Seriously

Y'all, there is a "Men's Health" sub forum here, which seems to be largely used by us older members, for obvious reasons!
I also think there should be a "trt" sub, which would also probably be mostly older guys.

That makes good sense but for training related topics an Over 40 subforum could be created in the Training forum.

Dr Crisler was a good guy. Through his Youtube videos, he introduced me to subq trt test shots a few years back.
He had a heart attack that he survived. He was actually running on the treadmill like couple of days after the heart attack.
I thought he committed suicide in his garage.

I could definitely have the story wrong, got a call from them telling me my appointment was cancelled and the practice may be closing. I heard the heart attack and die part from a guy at the gym.

It would definitely be a help to have this forum as it feels as though things start to drastically changed with ability and recovery at 40 and keep changing from there on.

Until Millard deems it necessary, or at least worthy, to give us a forum there could at least be a thread. Since BigPoppa had the idea he should have the honour of starting and naming it. A thread that would draw the more mature members to discuss all that needs to be discussed about moving metal past the age of 40. Common injuries and how to work around them, meal prepping for 40+ to get big or to cut, health issues that affect our workouts, etc...
It may end up being a sticky thread like the one #Oregongearhead started "What R U Eating"
How bout it Bigpoppa. Would you get the ball rolling? It's obvious that we need it and that it would be popular.
I am not sold on it yet but start a few threads. Let's see how they go and we can revisit the idea.

Im switching over from ego/mirror lifting to lifting for strength and functionality after never having cared about those things at any point in my life. I'm sure things I've never even thought about will begin to hurt. I'm even more certain that my ego will take a major hit as I face reality knowing that the muscles I so carefully crafted are all for show and they arent nearly as strong as other people would assume they are.

Yes, I'm 100% sure I'll have plenty to post/bitch about lol
