I used to deadlift on shoulder days, I would get a really good pump in my traps and my lats would be sore most of the time day after. Traps definitely blew up for me once I started deadlifting heavy. I think hand placement really comes into play with stimulating other muscle groups.

Funny how it hits everyone different. I feel some in my traps and lays but no pumps. My legs and back tremble with a nasty pump after high volume. Today it’s just tight and hammies are sore.

Agree. Traps and lat thickness definitely grew with heavy dead’s and rack pulls also.

"Push" style deadlifting (think Pete Rubish with slightly rounded upper back) works my traps and quads like crazy. "Pull" style destroys my hammies and lats. I like doing both in a dl session for insane DOMS cause I'm a sick masochist. Adding above the knee rack pulls made my friends ask if I was taking roids.

Sheeeitttt, when the test kicks in, it’ll be time to tear all the muscles. Going to have to start my lifts an hour earlier.

If I do conventional deads i like to do shrugs once locked out to emphasize the traps a bit more. Obviously not a bunch of reps but enough to fully engage them on every pull

What day did you start your test? Looks like we are pretty close to starting the same time. I am patiently waiting as well. Mu first pin was Aug 15

Close! I started this last Monday so you have a few weeks on me. Our cycles are almost identical. I dropped the propionate and am going to cruise as well because of low test. Running enanthate instead of cypionate and running Var at the end.

Felt strong today and numbers went up. Injected leg soreness isn’t as sore as last time. Also had a lot more energy today. Started getting my place deep cleaned through the day and got in a good lift. I believe test levels have to be higher than my natural levels at this point.

Had a nice rest day yesterday. Feeling more energized and clear.

Z track method failed me again today. As soon as I let go of the skin to do the plunger, the needle moved about a quarter inch. Definitely going to be sore with that dummy move. Any tips on doing Z track and keeping the needle in one spot?

Also, thinking about cutting back on the dead’s and oblique workouts. My mid section is getting a little too thick and my goal is to have the classic taper at the waist. I will probably start doing squats then high and wide leg presses for my hamstrings on the same day. Considering doing Chest/Back, Arms/Shoulders and Leg day routine for the beginning of the blast to help grow all around then go back to individual groups to refine once I’m ready. That’ll let me hit everything twice a week. Mixed with short recovery time, it should work perfect.

Time to eat and hit the gym.

I dont do the Z track method but have heard of it. Are you not supposed the keep it in the pulled position while you inject. Then once completed injection, pull out needle and let skin go back to original effectively closing the entry hole?

I believe so. I think it’d be better to hold it like a clicking pen rather than a dart. That way my thumb is already on the plunger and I don’t have to move. I do like it over the straight injection, as I’ve had no bleeding even with shitty form. It also doesn’t leave a mark, unlike my first straight injection that is still there a week later. Can’t find my last two z track injections.

Its Its hit or miss for me if I bleed or not. Probably 80% not. I dont see mine past a few days unless I ended up bruising which doesnt happen often.

Mostly trying not to slice up my quad with the needle lol. Just need some more practice.

Use one hand to hold the dart the other hand to stretch the skin. Once you punch through the skin then continue to push the needle into the muscle tissue. This can be tough on glutes if you arent flexible. Can always lay on a bed, it makes it easier for me.

I’m going to try this Friday. Thumb on the plunger and keep the skin tight the whole time. It didn’t feel good to have that needle moving around. At least I didn’t bend it like last time... Fuckin rookie.

Squats will add mass to your mid section as well, so will most ab exercises. Personally I dont think this is a good reason not to do them. Mabye dont make them the focus of your routines, many if not all the classic body builders squatted and deadlifted.

Wiggling the needle around the muscle tissue will cause pip for most

I’ll step back from the ledge. Looking more square than I want to. Probably from the weighted Russian twists and plate side crunches. I’ll cut those out and maybe throw in some seated bar twists without weight.
